Mixed Experience at BG2

I recently dined at BG2, a clean and spacious Mexican restaurant with not so attentive service. Despite the inviting ambiance, my experience was a bit mixed. Opting for the chicken tacos dinner plate, I found the chicken lacking in seasoning. Served with three tacos, a side of rice, and refried beans topped with cheese, the meal felt underwhelming in flavor. The onions, chopped too large for my liking, paired with cilantro, didn't enhance the dish as I had hoped.

To salvage the meal, I resorted to salting my food and adding the two sauces provided: salsa Verde and habanero (?). While this improved the taste to some extent, it was still far from memorable.

One disappointment was the absence of complimentary chips and salsa upon being seated, a staple in many Mexican restaurants. Although we received a serving of chips and salsa with a guacamole order, even the guacamole had large chopped onions and tomatoes, which detracted from its freshness.

We came to visit to actually grab tacos. This is a pizza place! Decided to order a birria pizza and Mexican pizza. Was kinda skeptical at first…. The pizza was amazing! The birria pizza came with consume. We ordered mozzarella sticks and fries. That was delicious too, we had to order more! Met the owner and he was down to earth. All and all I’m giving this 5 stars! We got a steak torta my kid loved it, I got a guarache smaller then I've had but did not disappoint, my other kid got tacos he loved them, salsas they had 3 different types all 3 were different and delicious We ordered there at the front sat down and he brought us our food chips and salsa Place was clean, the staff was efficient and friendly no complaints it's close to home so we thought we'd give it a try!
