I'm only giving this 5 starts because that's the highest rating available. However, it's not a very accurate rating. I don't even know where to start. I'll just mention the things I didn't try, like slaw dogs, chili dogs, nachos, and coffee... you can even get ice cream in your coffee. (Wow, I bet some bourbon trail ice cream would be amazing in coffee.) They have a BYOB day to bring your own banana and get 50% off your banana split.
Now...for what's important, THIRTY-SIX FLAVORS OF ICE CREAM!!!! Yes, I said 36. My plan was to get a scoop of strawberry cheesecake, but the precious girl that waited on us said, "Let me know if you want to try anything." Well... we did. Banana pudding is a favorite flavor of mine, and theirs was pretty tasty, as was the blue sugar cookie, and strawberry shortcake, and there was one about Jack, but I forget what it was called. But the absolute best flavor, hands down, bourbon trail. I was thinking one scoop, but it's a far drive and I'm not sure when I could get back over there, so maybe...TWO scoops... then it hit me... a bourbon trail milkshake. A milkshake is $4.99, which is cheaper than Sonic, and I am PRETTY sure she put 10 scoops in there. It was wonderful and heavenly and delicious and just PHENOMENAL! HIGHLY recommend this place, and that shake. YUM!
I do have a recommendation... I would offer a large number of samples for a small fee. And different levels. Like 12 samples for some dollars, 24 for a couple more dollars, and all 36 for a couple more. Wouldn't waste a bunch of wooden sample spoons because you'd give them 1 spoon. 1 fabulous color changing spoon (yes, they have those) and it's not like you need to change anything or spend any extra money on this idea and it would probably save money eliminating the use of a large amount of wooden spoons when people like the hubby and me ask to try 10 different flavors. 😉
The point is, this is an amazing ice cream shop, with an amazing menu, with amazing staff, with a drive-through, outdoor seating, and a CLEAN BATHROOM!!! The soap smells good, too!
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 10 stars
I wish I'd taken pictures, but it was one of those experiences that has you so caught up in the moment that all you want to do is enjoy it...not try to capture it with a photo. SO...I guess that means you'll just have to go see for...
Read moreHidden gem of an ice cream place I never knew was so close to home. The staff is never anything, but helpful and pleasant. Last week their air conditioning was out and it was hoooottt both inside and out. Those sweet girls handled it like pros! The shop was busy and they had to be udderly (see what I did there?) miserable, but they smiled, laughed and handled all the requested samples/orders. They worked as a team. I know it’s just a small ice cream place, but they still cared. Now, finally, the ice cream is fantastic as well! There’s so many flavors I want to try! That Michigan pot hole, buckeye, and Mackinac island fudge though! Excellent! My husband got this cherry/fudgy malt. Divine! I had a tummy ache for hours all of my own making from all the ice cream! A+ from us! Check out this sweet small business! I wish I had taken photos, but it’s always gone before...
Read moreI’ve passed by this new ice cream shop several times lately, and I made a mental note to take my kids there before school starts. It is a really cute building, and my kids LOVE the them some ice cream. We went yesterday, a very rainy day, and we were the only ones there. We checked out the menu outside; they have a lot of really interesting flavors! I got the banana pudding ice cream in a cup, two of my kids got the blue monster, and one got a peanut butter cookie dough (I’m not sure what it was called on the menu). We were all very impressed! This is really really good ice cream! It is super creamy, and it’s obvious upon taste testing that it’s made with top notch ingredients. We don’t live in Dunlap, but we will definitely be back! The staff was also very friendly!...
