If you're looking for a group activity, try a pasta making class at Il Laboratorio. We booked a class to make orecchiette, cavatelli, and gnocchi for a work retreat and it was a hit (even for the gluten-free participants!). It is hands-on, group-based, and ends with a product tasting. Carmella is a great host, providing instruction, guidance, and background information on the cooking classes she took in Italy to get her business started. We could also purchase additional pasta to take home, which was a bonus. We did this activity several years ago and the team STILL talks about it today. Read moreGreat fresh pasta to cook at home. Love the different combinations -- the kale ravioli was unusual, and I enjoyed every bite! Fresh pizza dough is excellent and works well for grilling. Looking forward to trying the pierogis and lasagna. Available at the Durham Farmers' Market on Saturdays during the winter months and Wednesdays during the summer months.

Read moreI got 3 boxes of pasta and they were all delicious. I got cheese & garlic, fig & Gorgonzola, and sweet corn. The fig one was a little gritty because of the texture of fig but was still delicious. They all paired well with the creamy tomato sauce.
