Took the family here for dinner on a Saturday evening (6ish) and ordered one 18in Supreme pizza, 10count of lemon pepper wings, potatoes and 2 individual slices of pizza for 4 ppl and spent $44! Pizza was excellent! Cheesy, but not overly and the ingredients were tasty because you could tell they were fresh. One of the slices we ordered was the East Durham. It has collard greens, cheese, bacon and serrano peppers on it. It was great! But be ready for the Heat! It kicks a nice punch if you not ready! 😂 Now the ranch dressing, which came with the wings is house made and it is THEE BEST RANCH I'VE EVER HAD!!!! No Lie! Make sure you get some. We ordered extra and dipped EVERYTHING in it! It was that good! Wings were great! Not over cooked/hard and they were juicy w/lots of flavor. Potatoes 👍🏽 Now location.... It is not located in the most feel good and fuzzy part of Durham. I think the owner would make more $$ if they relocated to another part of Durham. We sat and dine-in but with our antennas up and ready to go if anything popped off. Please don't take this as a bad establishment bc it's NOT, I will absolutely be ordering again, but carry-out. Also, it's not big inside at all so don't go with a huge party.

Definitely 4.5 stars for food and experience. Food: I loved the pizza (and I’m a picky pizza person). The cheese was great quality and distributed well (semi-thickly; not overflowing off the pizza). The garlic knots were not what I expected. Drizzled cheese (which h I did not expect at all) were on the knots, but there was not much garlic or oil/butter. The knots were dry (not hard) and cheesy. I was hoping for moist and garlicky. This is why I take off .5 stars. The knots were not what I was expecting. Marinara sauce was amazing and hot (heated, temperature-wise; not spicy)! Customer service is great. Restaurant is clean and there is plenty of parking. Also, they are known for their chicken wings and Monday is “buy 2 get 1 free” for wings.

This is a hidden gem of Durham! This pizza is delicious & I don’t know how they make that amazing (easy to eat) crust. We got the supreme and those meats and vegetables were plenty & fresh. It was such a gorgeous pizza! The salad was okay, quality lettuce but I had to cut it all up so I could eat it. We ordered the salad and pizza together but got the pizza 5-10 minutes after the pizza came out after we asked for it. May have been a slip up, but ideal time for the salad would’ve been 10 minutes before so maybe clarify when you order. It was cold in there (& freezing outside) but we will be back for that pizza. Overall, still very impressed & the best pizza I’ve had in Durham!

Lived in up north for 21 years. Since being here Sofia's Pizza stands in a league of some of the Northern most of the Pizza I've ever eaten. It is not a Pizza Hut, Domino's, etc. It is real pizza, real ingredients, fresh and home hand prepped, and cooked better than a lot of professional eateries! I always order by phone, pick up my own. Superb, Delightful, and Delicious!!! I have been in Durham now for 5 yrs. as of May this year. Coming up on 6 Lord willing. Sophia's has not "DISAPPOINTED YET." I've read other reviews of people that have eaten here an I would like to say: If you are used to eating fast food and not "Stove Top" to table food you will have a marred view of exceptional cuisine. "YES" I said it Cuisine!!! My experience with Sophia's has not changed yet. Granted, every day isn't the same in any place of work and I'll also add, not everyone takes pleasure in serving the public or may had a bad day. But to whoever gave them a mediocre review don't let that be the reason to not eat there. Respectfully let an employee or supervisor know of your concern, but considering yourself in you approach if you were the owner of that business. It would go a lot further in the future for you and others who patronize said restaurant or any other restaurant for that matter, especially if you enjoy their food. If there is a discrepancy most places are willing to make the correction apologetically in all sincerity. Try it. Restaurants want you to enjoy there food, but sometimes things do and will need to be pointed out. As I stated before, just do it considering yourself as being in the industry. This place is the bomb. And not...

I'm not too keen on the setup there. OK, no problem that the bathrooms are in a totally separate building however between those buildings is a gated area...while I was there 2 guys were repairing something I suppose (there was a repair van parked in their driveway) and they came from behind the gate at some point and obviously did not close the gate behind them. I saw a couple of ladies back there cooking something in big pots. I asked what was cooking and the one lady rushed to try and close the gate, so I asked again - she smiled but apparently/supposedly didn't understand my question and shut the gate. I'm guessing they were cooking for the food truck also parked in the driveway but THAT I cannot be sure of. Anyway, that was unexpected for me. So I ordered 2 slices of pizza (1 pepperoni & 1 veggie) and potato wedges. The slices were big but the order of potatoes was unbelievably big! However, I just didn't think the pepperoni pizza had much flavor to it...odd because that's a first for me. What I did taste was an overcooked crust. The veggie pizza I just didn't like at all. The combo of veggies tasted weird. The potatoes were not fully cooked which left them with a kind of gritty feeling in my mouth. When I found the spot on my GPS I was looking forward to it but I don't think I'll be...

The pizza is still excellent, but pass on the cheese bread. Their wings are excellent, try the Signature sauce on them. Delicious! I like they give 4oz ranches, not the small 2oz cups you get at other restaurants. I also enjoy the fresh celery and carrots with the wings, which are often excluded at other restaurants. I appreciate the specials on offer, and often buy the $21.95 XL peperoni pizza with 10 wings. The lunch special is now $5.99 but still among the best lunch deals in Durham. Excellent pizza! This is a hidden gem. I'm so glad I decided to try it out. These pizzas are made by professionals who care about their products. I prefer NYC style with minimal crust and they nail it. I appreciate the ingredient ratios. Everything is included in correct proportions. You won't get too much crust or sauce or too little cheese in each bite. They have one of the best lunch deals in Durham. Two giant one topping slices and a can drink for $4.99. The 18" pies are often slightly bigger than advertised. You'll pay twice the price for one here than a takeout special at Dominos, but these are 10x better. I very much look forward to trying everything on their menu. Highly, highly...
