Waffle House — Restaurant in Durham

It’s Waffle House, so I’m not expecting stellar service, but this was by far the worst, blatant, disrespectful experience that I’ve ever had at a dining location. A friend and I walked in to see multiple employees working, with even a couple of manager-looking ones, to be ignored by every single one. A few customers walked into the same thing. We waited to be seated for at least 10 min. It was not busy. By this time, another gentleman walked out. When 1 of the 8 employees finally cleaned the tables, we were able to sit down...only to wait for another 5-10 min for the server who was intentionally ignoring us. I stared at her and watched her serve everyone else but us. When we tried to get another employee to take our order, it was like they wanted to block us from getting any food. When the server finally waltzed herself over, my friend asked why she ignored us and if we offended her. She (Jas) took absolutely no responsibility, not even a fake response that could turn this experience around. She then proceeded to take her time returning our drink orders. I decided that I could not give my money to folks that would treat their potential revenue-generating customers like trash. No thanks. I won’t be back to...

When I say absurd... absurd is the word!!! Arrived around 335am to a locked door! The waitress comes to a windows & says they're closed to dine in from 1130pm-6am fri & sat "like the sign says", then I ask her why are there so many employees if y'all arent letting ppl dine in? She's says to take orders & expedite food. Problem is.. NO ONE is here, there are 2 waitresses & a cook sitting in booths on their phones doing ABSOLUTELY nothing and another employee outside sitting in his van, but yet I can't come inside for dine in. I was told to not come to this WH, but food is good, but portions not worth the price. Ordered bacon, 2 cheese eggs scrambled & hashbrowns- for 12.60$ which includes a service and to-go fee of 1.05$ each smh. So, I have to be charged for being made to stand in the cold to order to-go... makes no sense! Again, NO ONE IS HERE! It is now 430am and there has been ONE customer⁷! THIS POLICY NEEDS TO CHANGE OR HOURS MODIFIED! Ridiculous!!! And they have a live police car here in the parking......

When you order online, sometimes you cant because they just wont let you send in your order until a time that always gets pushed back making it so that the order can never be sent in they will track your internet usage with their ordering platform OLO

you can try to have olo stop tracking your data but there is not much you can do once you order from them. They will automatically put a tracker on your browser after you visit them even once. Waffle house must be okay with selling their customer's usage history which is not something I am okay with. The instructions to try and get them to stop tracking you is essentially "get stuff that will make it so we cant" instead of "we will stop trying to track you and use your data." It is nefarious and not something I should be thinking about when I am trying to get some hash browns
