The zucchini appetizer is superb...it comes with a tangy marinara sauce and the only size available is enough for 4. We wish they had a 1/2 order available like the pasta dishes. The warm bread is also wonderful for dipping in the sauce, minestrone soup,or cut into croutons for the very fresh salad. Eggplant parmigiana, shrimp saute, and pasta with Bolognese sauce were also wonderful, but the Bolognese sauce is made with Italian sausage and it's spicy. Our servers on different visits were both very good. Also the restaurant is clean although my seat had some crumbs on it from previous occupants. Don't let that stop you from enjoying this wonderful restaurant.

John's Pizzeria is one of the best places that have gone to they have a really great crust they use good ingredients and the man and woman who own it a really good people and they actually care about their restaurant and the food that they're putting out so my hats off to them and I highly recommend you go there and even if you like to do your own little thing you know you can go there and I'm sure they wouldn't even mind selling you some dough balls and sauce that you can do it yourself definitely worth trying out everything's homemade at least everything I tried has been

Great fettuccine Alfredo and homemade garlic bread with marinara. Large portions and good prices. Meat sauce tastes a bit odd, as does the Italian sausage on the pizza. Not sure why, but maybe too much fennel in the sausage. Tried plain cheese pizza and was very good while it was hot. Crust is thin but chewy, which is a nice combo. Great local casual spot with nice lounge atmosphere.

Hands down the worst food we were ever served in a restaurant! 1st and last time we will visit. Appetizer: Fried Zucchini - a soggy mess! Yet burnt as well. Obviously dropped into the fryer before the oil was hot enough. End result = greasy & soggy mess.

Soup had ZERO FLAVOR. No salt, pepper or flavor of any kind!

The garlic olive oil pasta dish was FLOATING in a 1 inch deep bed of olive oil. No garlic. No flavor. Just greasy olive oil and pasta. Served cold. The garlic bread served on the side, burnt to a crisp. No garlic or butter. Just burnt croutons!

Beef Sandwich: Not Enough meat on the sandwich to even fill half of the roll. And the side of AuJus tasted like water. Yep, brown water! Again, no flavor or spices.

Ordered some potatoes to take home for a family member. They were floating in oil. Tossed directly in the garbage when we got home.

Honestly, my husband can always find something he liked about a meal.... until now. The service was sub-par. Restaurant was empty. (Now we know why) The best thing about the entire experience was leaving. Truly the worst $50 we've ever spent.

Sorry if this sounds harsh and blundt. But the food was honestly that bad. Don't...

Haven't had John's since I was a child I remember going to the one in Calumet City and watching them spin the pizza. No recollection of the taste of the food, I was excited to check it out after such a long time after my brother suggested we all meet there for Sunday dinner.

You can only imagine my disappointment and how bland everything was. I love the cracker crust of the pizza but there was no flavor to it my Italian beef sandwich was cold, it was obviously made first and just left out to sit the french fries were warmer than the beef.

It was let down to say the least.

We were the only ones in the restaurant and we're left by our server for an unreasonable amount of time especially when we were done I'm waiting on boxes in our check.

No one complained it's not our style we ate it it was fine just little disappointed on how...

Every time I order from John's, it's a hassle. I love the food but their staff needs to be a bit more friendly. I've had one of their delivery drivers drop a pizza in my yard and check to see if I saw...which I obviously had. It felt like I was making a hassle out of asking for a replacement. Another time (after the girl read back my order to me over the phone, mind you) they forgot an appetizer in my order and they claimed they forgot to charge me for it as well...even though my price was outrageous...and when I asked them to bring it they told me they'd have to charge me for it. And the carry out people are always extremely rude when you call to make an order. I just called and they apparently won't take a card payment for a delivery order anymore, so they lost...
