Sheffield's Restaurant — Restaurant in Dyer

Came in for some breakfast around 9am today. I had a breakfast burrito, which was tasty and decent. However, this is not the Sheffields that I remember from decades past. The restaurant just seems a bit run down, filthy, and un-cared for. Wobbly tables, filthy seats, and cracked seat vinyl seats are what caught my attention. Even the server mentioned to us which booths had the least wobbly tables. They obviously know there are flaws in their restaurant but the management is too cheap to fix them.

The servers and staff were friendly and attentive, but then a dark curly haired fat man (who looked like he just woke up) came in and began talking a bit loudly and rudely to the servers. I can only imagine that this man was the boss and/or business owner.

I don't think I'll be coming back. I just can't forget how much filth was stuffed in between the seat cushions. A...

The Banquet room was an excellent venue for a small wedding with family! We had approximately 30 people. The service was impeccable. The banquet room was very tastefully decorated and super clean. Walls, carpets and ceiling all in perfect condition and these are things I strangely look at when I walk into a venue because it demonstrates care and concern to details. It was also quite spacious. The food was just amazing. The chicken Alfredo was good enough for seconds, and everyone at our table raved about it. Everything about our experience was five star. Even the flexibility of the management when it came to using the room for set up was just above and beyond and super appreciated. We will recommend the banquet room for anyone planning a special party and needing a private room. We will surely be back the next time our family...

First, the food was amazing. We had a party of six and everyone ordered different food. Not one complaint about the portion sizes, taste, or cost. The service did leave a little to be desired, however. The waitress was unfamiliar with the specials and sides. We asked to substitute our son's fries for fruit and were told the price was much higher than printed in the menu (in the end we were charged correctly). Our drinks all ran empty and we had to hunt down someone to refill them. The floors were sticky all throughout the restaurant and the men's room was disgusting. Overall we weren't super disappointed, but weren't thrilled either. We'll probably come back again, but I remember this place being much nicer...
