McDonald's — Restaurant in Eagle Creek Township

Where to start?? The whole thing is broke and needs a complete reboot. This place and McDonalds in general is seriously messed up. Punks are texting on their phones on the prep line while there’s a line of people waiting for their orders. When you hear one of the employees say to another, “I don’t know where you are at or what you need” you know they have problems. No leadership and the leadership they have doesn’t care. Ownership is disinterested as well. They are too busy trying to buy franchises instead of operating the ones they have to franchise standards. They can’t even provide the bare minimum in service and standards. They’ve abandoned their employees because it all stinks from the TOP down. Exceptional is clearly never going to happen under this leadership. I got a cross-eyed look when I asked for my entire dine in order be made fresh. I was willing and happy to wait for it too. This was before any lunch time rush. Of the 8 available tables to sit at only a few were actually clean. Everything was sticky. Employees had time to chat about their weekends though so that was nice. You used to walk into a McDonalds and actually smell food cooking. Burgers sizzling, fries deep frying. All that is no more. All you smell is grease and grime. Burger patties are pre cooked and laid to rest in plastic bins waiting to be cremated with your next order. Nothing is prepared fresh for the customer anymore. If you are lucky enough to get fresh fries you have about 6 minutes to eat them before they petrify. It’s pathetic really when you think about it. Bathroom was clean so all wasn’t lost. WiFi is slower than dial up if you get it to connect. Maybe this is being too picky but I don’t like eating in a dirty sticky restaurant let alone paying $12-$15 for a large value meal that used to be $6-$7 and actually resembled food. For what it’s worth I order a Big Mac meal Large no pickle. It came with 2 pleasantly grease coated luke warm patties from the corpse drawer. A pinch of warm lettuce and special sauce. Stale buns that were squished and about 6 pickles nicely placed that I didn’t want. Fries could stand up on their own and the sticky soda machine was flat. No carbonation. You think I’m exaggerating? Try the place for yourself. Ask to see the Burger Patty Corpse Drawer. Nothing will change until a clear message is sent to corporate but they are truly the problem. I can park a food truck across the street named Better Burgers Here and put this place out of business like the Arby’s and soon to be Subway that no one goes to. This place can easily be the next one shut down in the area. High traffic area right off the interstate and they still can’t get it right. Like I said....

Having been to this mcdonalds in the past, I used to find it to be a fast, yummy stop when traveling from Chicago to visit my family. This visit was vastly different than previous. When placing the order, the individual was nice enough. There were 2 cars ahead of us so I ran inside to use the restroom. I noticed that there seemed to be several families waiting for their food despite an otherwise empty dining room. Then when I came back to the car I found my husband hadn't moved at all. Total wait time was at least 15 minutes. This wouldn't have bothered me if the food had been the quality that I had before. The fries were Luke warm at best and my filet o fish was cold, cheese wasnt melted or anything. I dont have mcdonalds often and I look forward to having a filet whenever I do so you can imagine my disappointment especially with the nature of this sandwich that it was cold. We came around 750 CST on friday so it wasn't really that busy. At least the staff was nice. Sorry but have to give you low stars this time and would recommend...

Stopped here for a double cheeseburger with no ketchup, in the off chance the manager reads this order number was 1469 on Feb 11. The sticker was correct on the cheeseburger. We'll you guessed it , ketchup all over the place. The burger was so cold I experienced something I've never had at McDonalds before, it felt like someone painted the roof of my mouth with grease. This being an expressway McDonalds they probably don't get many returns.That cheeseburger had to have been sitting on a shelf somewhere for it to be that cold, I should have checked it when I got to the window and they had the food done already.
