Not sure where to start here... The only reason they are getting 2 stars is because their food was AMAZING. Otherwise, they deserve 1 or 0 stars. However, there were countless things that we disliked. -We spent a total of 2 hours there (yes there was a disclaimer on the table that each dish takes 20-25 minutes to make...but that equals 50 minutes, not 120). -We had two waiters working together and neither of them said more than 10 total words to us...and neither asked how our food was while we were eating. And no, they were not busy. -When we finally asked for our check, we saw that we were charged $13 for the salad that was supposed to be included with the meal. We were in such a hurry to get out of there, we didn't even want to ask for it to be removed. That probably would have taken another 20 minutes. -They also charge a fee (I believe 3.5% percent?) if you pay your bill with a credit card. I could go on and on, but to sum it up, if we would have had cash on us, we would have put a $10 on the table and left while we were sipping on our sodas waiting an hour for our food. Definitely won't be back due to the poor customer service and extra fees for paying the way most all people do now-a-days. 5 stars to the chefs though! Thank you!

Absolutely blown away by our experience at Bortolotti’s Cin Cin in Eagle River. From the moment we walked in, the vibe was just right — the music, the warm lighting, and the cozy, tasteful decor set the perfect scene for a great meal. The wait staff was phenomenal — super attentive, friendly, and genuinely seemed to care about making sure we had a great time. That kind of service makes all the difference. Now the food? Unreal. We started with the dinner salad and soup, and both were fresh, flavorful, and a great way to kick off the meal. Then came the main dishes — and wow. The carbonara was rich, creamy, and perfectly seasoned — easily the best I’ve ever had. And the Chicken Siciliano was packed with flavor, cooked to perfection, and plated beautifully. Every bite was a reminder that this is real Italian cooking. Honestly, Bortolotti’s Cin Cin is the only Italian restaurant worth going to in Eagle River. If you’re in the area and craving Italian, don’t even think twice. This place is a gem.

Food was served an hour and thirty minutes after we arrived. I ordered the Beef Wellington Rare with potatoes. The outside looked amazing, inside was a grey piece of meat with absolutely no sear. The mushroom sauce made the bread mushy. Luckily I was on a date and enjoyed the 3 hours it took to get served and our bill paid. I tried half of one potato half before this picture, I was still hungry when I left. Presentation was great on the plate but portions are more important to me than looks. Cheesey broccoli soup was pretty watery and was more like broccoli with a little parmesan/romano soup. This may seem a little harsh but for being the second table that night it was sub par. From 5-8 there were 5 tables and mostly 2 tops.

We came here to celebrate a college graduation and had a mix of opinions among our party. We had issues with multiple dishes.

2 of our party members ordered the carbonara and found it to be very watery; neither of them were interested in finishing their meals. The Walleye was unimpressive; we expected local fish to be cooked/seasoned properly and it was lacking flavor.

The saffron seafood linguini was a total scam. The shrimp was ridiculously overcooked and the best way I can describe the mussels was that they did not taste anywhere near fresh, the scallops were decent. One of our party members will eat anything and is not very picky so he offered to take the shrimp and mussels because they were inedible in my opinion.

Obviously, I chose not to send the meal back or I wouldn’t have had another member of our party finish the seafood, but I did choose to let management know because (as someone who has worked in customer service) i found the quality of the dish to be unacceptable (especially for something they charge $40 for) and wanted them to be aware so they could address it for the future.

They were very combative and dismissive. I was expecting a response of “I’m so sorry I will let the Chef/Manager know so we can fix that for next time”, instead they came back and said “Well, I don’t know what you want, we can’t comp anything on this”. Not once did we indicate that we were looking for compensation. I was very frustrated to receive that kind of attitude from the staff at what I expected to be a well run establishment.

We also spent over 3 hours there. We were expecting a european style dinner going into it, but we also expected properly cooked food. On top of that we asked if there would be a wait time for the desserts and were told no there would not be a wait time because none of them need to be baked. 25 minutes after ordering we were informed they do in fact need to be baked and we were stuck there for another 45 minutes as a result!

And at the end of our dinner after expressing discontent multiple times and receiving no effort from the management to make it right, the staff had the audacity to say to us “We are so glad you enjoyed your meal, please leave a positive review for $5 off on your return visit”. Suffice it to say we will not...

This is a mixed review I was very please with the two servers that worked with us this evening. We were excited to sit outside and after our appetizer it started to rain and we went inside to finish our meal. We commented on the STOP sign in the menu asking for patience with a longer wait because of a smaller staff. Once inside we read a note on the table about how fresh everything that we were about to eat was. The food was good, The service was good and pleasant. I paid my pill with a credit card which I use most of the time and when I got my bill I was charged 3.5 % extra for using my credit card. I did not see a sign on the door nor was I told this when I handed my card to my server, I can afford the extra 12 dollars that I was charged but I’m not sure it is legal and I’m sure it is not ethical at all. Times are tough for many industries but transparency is the root of a good business model. Everyone knows that credit card company’s charge businesses to except their use. I fell cheated!!! Do not except credit cards or let your customers know in advance of an up charge, Then we can prepare to pay in cash or go to the next restaurant. Thank you...
