Rustix — Restaurant in Eagle

Went on a Friday before the rush of people. The place not bad looking for a bar/restaurant. The music was a little loud but not too bad. Not too busy at 5pm on a Friday. Sat down and waited for someone to come over to take our order. No one came. Went up to the bar which had 3 people working behind who where just standing around doing nothing but talking to ask about ordering. They said someone would be over. Waited for alnost 10 minutes before I got up to go sit at another table hoping someone would see me. FINALLY, someone saw me an came over to take our order. He was nice. We had a fish fry, a shrimp fry, and a grilled chicken sandwich. The fish and shrimp fry were nothing special. The salad was okay. The clam chowder soup had no flavor. The "grilled" chicken sandwich was more of a boiled chicken and tasted like it. The fries are pretty good.

We came in around 11:30 for lunch. Sat at a table and were not greeted very kindly when we asked about that day's specials, kids menu or even asked if there was a treat for someone's birthday available as one person in our group was celebrating their birthday that day. Food was ordered, no complaints about food whatsoever, hats off to the cook. Our only issue was the server/bartender that seemed annoyed we needed assistance with placing our orders, refilled drinks and to-go boxes when asked. There were several people working and one other server/bartender came over to see how we were, had brief conversation with us about our day and holiday weekend plans and to give us our check. That lady was pleasant and we were more then happy to hand her directly a tip. She made us feel welcome. That is what a customer asks for, pleasant interaction. Not to feel like the people at the bar are your priority and the customers at a table...

Three stars may be generous. We were seated quickly. Waited about 15 minutes to order a drink. Got it about ten or fifteen minutes later. Ordered food then. Three other tables seated after we arrived. They all were served, ate and left before we got our food. Asked the waitress a couple times what was up? We finally got the food about 90 minutes after we sat down. I asked the waitress if they just forgot our order. It happens. But she said that no, they just got slammed . If that was true why did the people who sat down after us get their food? They blew the order. I ordered a Cuban panini. I got a chicken, cheese, bread and apple sandwich. Very bland and didn't care for it. My wife ordered chips with her sandwich and got fries. They comp'ed our meal but that's a couple hours out of our lives we won't get back. Plus's were waitress was nice and...
