This has been a staple for Chinese food in my home since I moved to the area 9 years ago. However, my last order has left me completely disgusted and disappointed. Nothing tasted like it usually does. My garlic shrimp was virtually flavorless even though I asked for extra spicy, the shrimp disintegrated when a fork touched it. The shrimp seem as if it was precooked brined shrimp tossed in at the end. They were super bright in color and had no texture but were kinda salty with no shrimp flavor. Never have I had the shrimp be like that. The peanut butter chicken meat was so dark and gamey plus so over fried that it didn't get eaten. The egg roll filling wasn't the same and the sweet n sour sauce that came with the crab rangoon was watery. Plus the rice that came with the entrees was hard. I don't know what made these changes happen this last order but it definitely makes me not want to ever get food from there again. $45 for 2 people...
Read moreI almost never give 5 stars because there is always room for something better, but this place right here earns every one of those 5 stars. We’ve been in Edwardsville for a couple years and have been searching high and low for a good American Chinese take out spot, and thank god we found this one. We’ve been to a dozen take outs, and even tried Wonton King, Cate, and Corner 17, and this place beats them all! Rangoons are sweet and crispy. The house lo mein and rice were perfect, and the sesame chicken was crispy on the outside and tender in the middle. No shoe rubber here! To top it all off, the woman that does front of house is super friendly and kind! We spent $46 and if we had went to the city, that same meal would be well over $100. If you’re tired of searching reviews to decide where to go….trust and believe this is the one. Do yourself a favor, and dine in. You’ll get the hottest, fresh...
Read morePretty standard variety of dishes for this area. However, it's always hot, fresh, and fast. Delivery is awesome. When I order I usually order for around 4 people and they add crab rangoon and general tsos chicken on orders reaching a certain amount which makes for some delicious leftovers! The only downside is ordering online. If you make additions to the dish (i.e. add shrimp to vegetable lo mein) it doesn't seem to make it to the final product. I think that's more on the platform they use and not on the staff as when i call an order in it's always 100% correct. All in all, this is the only chinese restaurant I order from. One last thing...when ordering spicy, it seems to be spicy to a bland palate. I like spice so when i ask for 10/10 spice give it to me LOL! Great place, great people, affordable quality food that...
