East Berlin Diner — Restaurant in East Berlin

This place is awesome let me tell you. Me my wife and our little one (just under 2) just went here for breakfast. As we walk in, a lady is cleaning a table and welcomes us in, tells us to sit anywhere we like. As we get ourselves settled, she asks for our drink order and gets those for us right away. She wasn't even our server, just being helpful, and we had a soda and a hot coffee almost as soon as we sat down. Then our waiter comes over, super friendly guy. Making conversation, asking about our son. His service was quick, he remembered everything, never had to wait for a refill, awesome service. And at the end of it all when we tell him we are new to the area he tells us he hopes we stop back in. And I believe it. Everyone there seemed like they really enjoyed being there.

The food was great. I had chipped beef gravy over home fries. It had good flavor and came out hot and quick. My wife got a crab cake sandwich which was real lump crab and for $11 we were impressed with how tasty it was. Corn beef hash was crispy but not burnt.

Easily, easily, our new go to spot. Prices can't be beat, the food is high quality, and the atmosphere is friendly and inviting.

When u walk into a restaurant and all you smell is weed this is your first impression and should leave. There's a waitress there has an attitude and its sad. The waitress are all over the place. I can not bring my child in a place that smells like weed. The gentleman that works the register is the only one who is sweet friendly and shows he loves working with people unlike the other ones there. There food is delicious but I will not support a restaurant that smells like weed and they say its the people upstairs that smoke. went here for the first time and you cannot convince me this is a new restaurant and why it would have any reason for a “grand opening” the menus have Ai generated pictures of the food. Although the servers were polite they seemed all over the place. They clearly have no professional customer service training. Yelling all over the restaurant about who has what table and what and when the food comes out just seems odd. The place was very outdated and a creepy building in general.
