In a word… phenomenal! From the moment we walked in the door, we felt welcome and right at home. We were seated beside a fireplace, very nice! Our waiter Brad greeted us and presented us with the extensive wine menus. He was very knowledgeable and after making some suggestions, we made our selections. Our drinks came out quickly and were so good. I highly recommend the “Mrs. Clause’s Red Dress”. It was delicious. Dinner menus were brought out and we selected the Potato crisps to share, my husband chose the Hamburger with Steak fries and I had the Prime Beef Short Rib. I must say, everything was cooked to perfection and plated beautifully. Each course was timed perfectly. We were seated where we could see into the kitchen. I really enjoyed watching this entourage of culinary professionals interact with each other like a well oiled machine. I have seen some comments that this place is expensive, but let me say this… you get what you pay for. It is WELL WORTH the price for the quality of food and the experience. We are so fortunate to have such high caliber dining in our area.

We had the pleasure of visiting Sidney Tavern in East Berlin and were genuinely impressed. We tried the rum punch, which we think might be seasonal, and the raspberry and rose. Both drinks were full of flavor and beautifully balanced. The new gnocchi was incredibly soft and comforting. As a vegetarian, I was excited to see solid plant based options on the menu. You have to try the black bean burger. It was easily one of the best I’ve had locally. The atmosphere is cozy and elevated with a welcoming small town feel. The interior is filled with interesting artwork that gives the space a creative and personal touch. It’s the kind of place that feels both relaxed and refined. It’s about 25 to 30 minutes from Seven Valleys, tucked in the heart of East Berlin, making it a great little getaway spot for dinner or drinks. Overall, Sidney Tavern gets a solid 10 out of 10 from us. Definitely worth the trip.

I will start by saying it is pricey but SO WORTH IT! The staff is incredible from the hostess who helped bring meals and answer questions to the server who was attentive and we definetly had some good laughs with. The chef sent out a free amuse bouche that was a puff pastry filled with a goat cheese and onion mixture. But let me tell you the oysters! I have eaten oysters on the half shell pretty much my whole life and they were phenomenal the mignonette was everything I didn't know I was missing. Food was seasoned to perfection. I mean they don't even have salt and pepper on the table because it is not needed. Already planning to return and can't wait till the menu changes again.

I can’t even… this place is truly remarkable. I’ve wanted to go for here for at least ten years. Being a local it’s always been on my list of places to get to but there’s never a shortage of restaurants to eat at. I finally made it here with my fiancé for dinner. We had a reservation and arrived very early. They sat us immediately which I was so grateful for. The service was out of this world. I wish I knew our server’s name. She was blonde and super friendly. That said, all the younger kids and hostesses/hosts who brought out food and cleared our table were just as professional and happy to be here. You can tell these folks love their job and are not just in the business of the food industry but the hospitality industry. It’s so wonderful to be waited on by people who enjoy where they’re at. At no point was anyone standing around. Everyone worked hard to ensure every table was cleared or had what they needed. We were seated on the tavern side. The music was wonderful and the drinks plentiful. I love little details like plenty of napkins and fresh flowers and candlelight-they hit all the marks and it makes all the difference to me. The flowers were gorgeous. I wanted to try a couple of drinks but my raspberry rose was so big I couldn’t find room for another. It was superb. My fiancé had the hard cider and he loved it. We then each got a complementary hummus ball and that was ok but the temp was cold which was probably intentional but I would’ve preferred it warm. We ordered a first course of Caesar salad and bread. Both were awesome. We loved all the breads. I couldn’t begin to rank them. It included a wheat, a sourdough and a cornbread. I wish it came with more butter because we split it. The sun dried tomato on the salad was a nice touch. I appreciated each course being brought out one at a time and not having multiple plates sitting on the table. Anywhere we go we order one course a time but here they wait for you to finish course one before two and so forth. It’s truly a dining experience, as any restaurant should be but that’s not the case most places these days. Our entree selection were the sirloin steaks with mushrooms. Both were cooked to perfection and the mushrooms were to die for. The broccoli was cooked perfectly and the marinade of the steak was divine. It almost tasted like it had cocoa in it but I’m not certain. Whatever it was, it was heavenly. I think the potatoes almost stole the show-they were layered and had a strip of bacon across the top-OMG. I think it was one of the best meals I ever ate. I rarely finish my plate but I scarfed it all down and so did my fiancé. Next up was the chocolate torte desert with the raspberry sorbet. I can’t describe how it melted in my mouth. I wanted to slap someone-it was that decadent. We split this and ended up ordering a second. We never, ever order a second of anything but I felt zero shame. If I died tomorrow I’d want this to be the last thing I ever ate. The sorbet was fantastic and I’m not even a sorbet person. I can’t wait to try their ice cream when we come back.. and we will definitely back. This is definitely a high end, pricier restaurant but it’s worth every penny. For the quantity and quality of food and service we didn’t feel the least bit guilty on our splurge. I look forward to returning for the outside patio and ice cream. Way to go, Sidney’s Tavern....

It is simply outstanding!

I have dined here many times - and I am a Foodie and have dined at most of the notable top notch establishments in the Central Penn area. Sidney I believe to be one of the best restaurants around.

It is a beautiful place, the food was artistically prepared and presented, absolutely sublime flavors, perhaps a bit pretentious, but well deserved.

The service is always top-notch - never a complaint about the service. I use Open Table and the staff is ready to greet me without fail.

The area between Camp Hill and York is lacking in anything with serious quality. It could be considered pricey, I didn't feel that way considering the outstanding quality of the establishment, the food, the decor, and the service. It is a bit out of the way - but well worth the trip.

It was very quiet when we arrived at 5pm, but by 6:30 it had become a bit noisier, but not enough to really be an issue.

Sidney is truly a gem with a lovely terrace, a quaint tavern all inside a beautifully decorated historic building. Perfect place for a nice date or a special occasion - I cannot...
