Imagine living in a small town and having very limited access to good food. Yeah, our other restaurants are great, but not enough cultural flare. Now, bring in a far Asian restaurant with a great mix of Chinese cuisine, Japanese sushi & sashimi, and other unique flavors of the Orient. Now, having that in your small town is tops, which is why they have numerous positive reviews, including mine.
When you begin to eat there frequently, you start to feel like Norm from "Cheers"… A place where they know your name. I can seriously walk in to Koi today and they know me. Because I believe in them here in our town. Their food is always good, always freshly made. Their take-away service is just as positive. They have a wonderfully extensive menu, including a lunch and dinner specials section (which I highly suggest, unless you're in the mood for sushi/sashimi). The only thing that they're still working on is their fried rice. It's not quite as seasoned as other Asian places, but it does fill you up and well!
Also, this restaurant is THE CLEANEST RESTAURANT AROUND! They work very hard to keep everything beat and clean. I've watched them wash chairs in places no one thinks to look!! Hard working, clean,...

I tried to place an order for sushi and was instructed by the female on the phone with a thick Asian accent, something about sushi only being served in September, October, or November. Then I asked again about sushi because I could not understand her, and she SCREAMED into the phone something about September, October and November again. I will no longer order from Koi. There are multiple places to eat within a 1 mile radius. Granted, none of them have sushi but I will gladly drive to Hanover or York to not be treated like that over the phone.
This summer we ordered from here multiple times a week, always spending $50 or more on meals for 2-4 people. Never again. You have lost a customer for life Koi, and more importantly, $100-$200 a week in sales from a...
Read moreWe ordered by phone based on the website menu. Unfortunately, the prices weren't adjusted whatsoever (what should have been around $45 online price, came up to +$70) When we asked why the price didn't match. The lady on the phone couldn't justify why or had no answer in that regard. We proceed to keep our order to support small businesses. As we picked up and brought back our food home, I thought they forgot the dish that I personally ordered (Chow mein chicken) as I saw only the chicken with vegetables and sauce. It took me awhile to realize that the chow-mein where actually a generic bag of Asian chips....seriously! I was beyond shocked by that and couldn't believe it! A restaurant who is supposed to serve fresh noodles, gave me chips as my dinner for my vegetables. Ironically, my order was placed on April 1st, which is April's fool day. I guess I was the fool that day to order there. Which of course I will...
