Faddy's Donuts — Restaurant in East Hartford

I’m in love with their donuts and cheddar popcorn. The maple frosted donut is hands down THE best. Defiantly a decent price for the amount of deliciousness you get in return. Anyone who gives anything less than 5 stars is off their rocker. Cold or warm their donuts taste way better than any bakery or store donuts around. The only thing I will say is that I wish they had boxes or something sturdier, for when you’re buying multiple donuts, instead of just a paper bag because my boston creme was at the bottom of the bag and got smooshed and the creme seeped through a soggy hole onto my passenger seat, but I salvaged it and wasn't mad about it, just slightly bummed was all. But yeah, other than a smooshed donut once I cannot say they deserve anything less than a 5, If I could rate...

This place was a bit difficult to find as it’s a very small shack tucked under the corridor of a sporting goods store. When I got there there was a line and so I was excited to see what the hype was about. The gentleman serving me was gruff and indifferent- very unpleasant to say the least. But I’ve never allowed subpar customer service to deter me and I wasn’t about to start now. I got 6 sugared donuts (too doughy, not enough sugar and not fresh) a jelly donut (filling was too sweet and the dough was very heavy) and a couple others. The donuts were not warm, very doughy and served up with displeasure. I also got the sweet and salty kettle corn which was very good but a bit too salty...

Delicious donuts! We drive an hour to Cabela’s just so that we can get some sweets as a treat afterwards. Maple glaze is definitely the best! And can’t forget chocolate glaze too. Tried the cheddar popcorn for the first time today and OMG! It’s the PERFECT amount of cheddar. Other cheese popcorn never has enough, but Faddy’s does an excellent job. Ate half a bag on the car ride home.

Only thing I would suggest is that I’d prefer my donuts in a box. All my six donuts are stuffed into a bag and all the glaze melts because it’s so hot in...
