Minervinis is AMAZING! I moved to East Haven 2.5 years ago now and this place is really close to where I live. I know about Minervinis because my sister lived here years ago and her and her husband raved about it. Needless to say when I moved here I had to see for myself. I’ve gone MANY times. Ordered takeout and delivery. And never once have I had a bad experience with the staff, or the food. Such friendly staff. The restaurant is clean. The food is 6 out of 5 stars, and I’ve tried different things from fries, to onion rings, pizza, desserts, salads, calzones and more. And every-time it is worth writing home about. I tell everyone I know about this establishment and will say, they’re by far my top favorite pizza joint around. We order at LEAST $70 WEEKLY, usually more than that….but the attention to food quality has drastically disappeared. From forgotten bacon on the Annex salad, no blue cheese for wings, special orders DO upset you (as simple as trading bread for a wrap…we HEARD the guy preparing food telling the girl taking the order he was DONE with that) and just recently ordering a tuna sandwich ( presented on receipt as a tuna melt for 10.99) only to get a tuna on a stale hard roll, with tuna that was brown and pasty. It was the first Friday of lent. Extremely important here, pizza took an hour to finish. Not really their fault, they had a huge surge in business and only so many hands, and they out in their best effort to keep things going, so I didn't factor that into my rating.
The ladies working here are so friendly and nice, and when the pizza and wings came out they were awesome. At the end of the day, their friendly service and great food are what keep me coming back!
I would recommend Minervinis to anyone in the East Haven area. They DO have online ordering, but it's better to just call, the 35 min wait time does NOT account for things like lent, snow, or anything else that would create a surge...
