The Deli (of East Haven) — Restaurant in East Haven

Staff is friendly and helpfu as long as they don't have to move: On several occasions I have left w my arms full of bags of ice, could barely carry them let alone open my car door, but no one even offered to help. They weren't busy and there were plenty of staff available. Another time I ordered through an app and they didn't ID me when I picked it up. They just said "Your order is over there". So I grabbed it and left. 10 mins later they texted me and said I was missing half my order and I had to come back... THEN they card my brother who went in to grab the rest of the order! and they wouldn't release it to him bc his name was not the one on the order... They certainly didn't verify my identity or anything even remotely like that. I guess it was cool of them to let me know, even though I would have noticed.

Other than those two terrible experiences: The store is super convenient and they make great sandwiches. Premade salads and desserts are usually very good too. But, there is nothing, as far as food goes, in the refrigerators/freezers. A lot of options for drinks, ice creams, and other frozen desserts. Found myself thinking I might have been better off going to...

Great convenient one stop shop for quick pick ups needed such as fresh cut up fruit n fruit salads, mixed salads with chicken if desired.. they have all things that are in convenience store, such as drinks, packaged foods, candy, pastries n etc. Also a deli that is great! The cook is awesome n they have lots of options ready to go, n also ready to make fresh upon ordering! Great fruit n deli. Plus there is the pizza shop there too. So lots of options for all. All I've eAten here has been great. You can also find some yogurt, juice, fresh veggies n fruits to pick up quick, such as lemons, bananas, Apple's n lots more! Great hours and for most part all are very kind and nice...

We eat at the deli at least 1 a week the order was 1 lg calzone this was not the Norma Size lg calzone and I was given no sauce but didn’t know until I got home . The disrespect I was treated with after calling. Was not proper and it was enough to make me get on here and say that your words were not humble and shoving money at me after the way you treated me was not acceptable . Service and attitude mater. And watching all your employees on camara every second is not impressive You should trust a man who works 25 years there and he should of stepped up and recognized it was smaller then normal honest and willingness to admit a mistake.. 17+ for...
