This is a new location for Wendy's, and they have a lot of basic operating issues to address. Hopefully they do it soon. We pre-ordered our food on the Wendy's app, and that let's them prep our order during our 5 minute drive to the location. Today was not a good day for this store. We walked in and found a lot of unhappy customers waiting on their food orders. Ours was on the monitor as "In Progress", so I hung back and kept an eye on the monitor. No food was being served to anyone, but they had several trays with order information on the counter, and many hungry customers. About 5-10 minutes after arriving, I noticed that our order moved from "In Progress" to "Ready", but there was no food on the counter for my order. After my order disappeared from the monitor, I asked the nearest employee where my order went since it had not made it's way to the counter, and he went back to check on it. They had at least 7-10 employees, most of whom were standing at their stations (fry station, burger station, cash register, etc...) There was one guy who I think was supposed to be doing the final fulfillment of orders, but he just kept staring at a PC screen, and could not seem to figure out what to do. Several disgruntled customers requested refunds, and eventually, about 20 minutes after we arrived, they started to put food on a tray that was for my order. It took a few minutes to get it all right, but eventually I got what I think I ordered. Unfortunately, everything was pretty much cold by this point, so that told me that they were prepping the food, but no one seemed to know how to put together the orders from the different stations.    Read moreWe have been 3 times since they opened. The first time service was so slow and staff was standoffish. We chalked it up to opening challenges. We also got medium frostyâs filled half way. The next time we went for breakfast and the woman taking our order was very friendly and kind. A teenage female worker was talking back to her and arguing with her in front of us. I felt terrible for the woman and was disgusted by the minorâs behavior. The most recent visit, it took a long time and food came out lukewarm. A young male staff member had his phone out and yelled something along the lines of âI donât care if they fire meâ. Itâs sad that on all 3 occasions, young staff was observed acting unprofessional (Iâm sure not all, but enough), service was slow, and the food left a lot to be desired. I dont know what the requirements are for hiring people. But listening skills should be a part of it.
I've been here a few times, and each time, they have screwed up my order. They flat out just give me the wrong stuff. Seeing the incompetence from the beginning makes me not want to turn around to have it fixed. Mostly because i dont want to wait another 15 mins to get the right stuff.
Another major issue is speed. These guys are slow, slow, and slow. The whole drive thru experience is about 30 mins. It doesn't matter what time of the day.
The food is good when they get it right. Nuggets and burgers are cooked well. Just everything else makes it hard to come here. The only thing saving them with me is that they are open until midnight.
