Big Apple Bagels — Restaurant in East Lansing

I love bagels and cream cheese in the morning but I will not be going to Big apple bagel anymore even though i live less than a mile away and it is on the way to work. ( i have been there at least 10 times becuase of this fact and do not enjoy it every time) The bagels are so chewy im not sure they are still bagels and the coffee tastes like the free coffee at church. the biggest problem is the customer service is the worst!!! Make sure you have at least 10 min to wait in a line of 2 people and then get charged $3.17 for one normal bagel with plain cream cheese toasted and still wait another 10 mins for that. the workers don't even acknowledge that there is a line out to the door. after 5 mins. The customer service and over priced gross bagels confirmed my decision to stop going to this place. i was happier eating a pop tart this morning instead. I don't like eating pop tarts but when big apple bagels is that bad it becomes the best option. One good thing is there specialty cream cheese is really good but...

This is usually a four or five bagel place hopefully a bad day.

Check you order closely as it is taken. Order 5 bagels none toasted. Two with butter, three plain. Really simple.

Got 4 of 5 bagels. All toasted, three that were to be plain all had cream cheese…. When I went back the person at register acted like it was a huge inconvenience. The originally person who took my order hid in the back…. Obviously paid for cream cheese when I didn’t order it.

A real hassle for a decent bagel.

Hopefully an anomaly because my prior experiences were always good. Please check your order closely when placing and when picking up.

Big Apple Bagel are my favorite bagels in town, so of course we went here for breakfast for my birthday.

I got my standard order of an everything bagel with jalapeno cheddar cream cheese.

My kid got a breakfast sandwich, and he didn't realize until a few minutes later that it came with American cheese. We were able to swap that out with cheddar even though they had already started working on our order and they were very nice about it.

My husband was a little disappointed that his cinnamon bagel had picked up some garlic somewhere along the way.
