Jade Garden — Restaurant in East Peoria

Okay, so where to start. Way overpriced. I spent 40 dollars for 4 items, 2 of which were a small. I've gotten the same menu items and sizes at other places for 10 dollars cheaper. Next, I'm no food critic but my taste buds are on point. I've eaten at many Asian restaurants and this is by far the worst I've experienced. I should have gone panda express. The chicken fried rice tasted funny. Chicken Lo mein was extremely bland and the noodles were overcooked, borderline soggy, more chicken than noodles. The orange chicken smelled nice, but it was almost like it was precooked chicken with a sauce just poured over it- rubbery texture inside and out. And finally we get to the sweet and sour chicken. Literally the best part of the meal. Chicken tasted good and the crust was crispy and flavorful. The let down to that was the sauce though. It was overly sweet and did not taste like traditional sweet and sour sauce. It wasn't even the same color as I'm used to seeing. It actually saddens me to leave this review because it's a small business and I think we should support them. Suprisingly, it was actually quite busy when I went there. Odd based on my negative experience. I'm assuming it's because it's pretty much the only Asian place around aside for panda express. Hopefully people are more honest in their reviews so that this place can fix...

Decent Chinese spot. Not the best and not the worst. Rite in the middle. I had The Rangoons, Sesame Chicken, Combo Fried Rice and the Dumplings. Everything was just bland. Forsure needs more flavors. They need more rangoon filling to the Rangoons. The rangoons were very crispy. The Sesame Chicken was my favorite. Just needs more flavor. The fried rice was packed with meat lol. Again jus needs more flavor. My friend had the Bourbon Chicken. That's was delicious 😋 the chicken was juicy and moist. Packed with flavor. Food Game 7/10 Price Game 8/10 Portion Game 9/10. Overall Jade Garden 7/10 I'll com back for that...

"Great food" mostly, only problem is I keep finding little torn off plastic ends of sauce packets in my fried rice, not sure what is going on. Just got the usual last night and again I found a corner of a sauce packet in my broccoli and chicken, this will be the third time InThe last 6 mo this has happened, I didn't think anything of it the first time it happened and even the second time I brushed it off thinking it was just a fluke, well 3rd times a charm and why im leaving this review. I'm not sure what is going on but you need to tighten...
