The food is decent, but customer services and accommodation is awful. Went there once with the family for a sit down dinner. Mind you that this place isn't anything fancy. Just a regular pizza joint you can find anywhere in jersey. We were a large party. 10 of us. The place was near empty and yet they begrudgingly sat us down. The vibe was as if they didn't want to have a large party at their restaurant and that they didn't like having little children there as well. Either way, food was decent enough to return back.
My second attempt to visit the restaurant I called a head to make reservations at this pizza joint. Who makes reservations at their local pizza joint? Ha! Exactly...Oddly enough though, the person whom answered the phone at the restaurant wanted to know the party size (12) and if we had children (5). After replying, we were told there were no reservations left for the night for my party. Little weird considering we were trying to have dinner at 5pm...but OK, a little strange, no problem. Since we legit live around the corner we happen to drive by the restaurant and saw that the place was near empty as we were going to another location for dinner. And as we were heading back home from our other location, the same thing! Their restaurant was near empty!
After talking about this with other people, this establishment has not only done this to me, but other members of my family who attempted to eat there and other members of the community. It's a very bad look for a small local joint that isn't anything fancy. The way they handle covers you'd think their some fancy modern Italian joint in Princeton or NYC. It's comical. Its a local pizza joint! Not even brick oven for crying out loud. Ha! Either way, never going back there. These guys don't like money nor do they like to work.
Go to scottos instead if your in the area. At least theyre legit off the boat Italian with better food and no issues with seating. Just walk right in and grab a bite. No issues. The way...

I review restaurants under a travel website. My MO: pay three visits to any location, especially dining establishments, in order to gauge quality consistency of service, meal preparation and presentation in order to provide an informed review.
After I recently visited La Terrazza Pizzeria & Ristorante I desired to post my review on one of the Internet search results for local East Windsor, NJ, restaurants listings so travelers passing through town – as well as the locals - become aware of this place as an inviting stop. (My customary travel site review will be posted after two more visits.)
La Terrazza is one of two BYOB establishments on the relatively new shopping strip along Route 33 East as one leaves East Windsor. Relatively easy access to parking; if you miss the driveway, keep driving toward the right and a second entry will be on the opposite side of the strip.
The restaurant has an open air dining terrace for fair weather days and two indoor dining areas. The formal dining room is typically used for private bookings in addition to accommodate major holidays’ crowd surge.
The décor is modest and clean. The staff is attentive without hovering. Food is so tasty, it was like dining in a high-end, starred restaurant. While some diners may, at first glance at the menu, consider the prices a tad high, I’d say are they are justified when one savors the first and ensuing mouthfuls of generously portioned, nicely seasoned food. The menu offers a variety of selections plus their desserts are fresh.
BTW: if you don’t have a bottle with you when you come to dine, there is a liquor store midway the strip – a bit pricey yet saves one a 15-minute+ drive to the Bottle King on...
Read moreOur New Favorite NJ Restaurant! We had a wonderful experience with La Terrazza. The kids loved the pizza and pasta. The Alfredo was made the old-fashioned way and it was delicious. The eggplant is thinly sliced and flour coated and served with outstanding marinara sauce. We ordered multiple shrimp dishes, which were also superb. The rolls are homemade and so good. As some members of our group have medical issues, I spoke with the owner, Sal, about ingredients. He was super customer-focused and passionate about his food, as well as serving his customers healthy products (note the restaurant is a rarity in using trans-fat free oils, which are banned in NYC and soon to be banned in the US, but most NJ restaurants still have not converted to a healthier option). We ordered a lot of food (take-out) and every single item was delicious and the large order was perfectly prepared. Based on the outstanding food and customer service, I can’t recommend this...
