This was a great find on our weekend getaway! Our initial impression when we arrived was ugh! They're busy with a line out the door spilling onto the sidewalk. As we got closer, it seemed as though there was a group just hanging around outside for whatever reason. The line to the hostess stand seemed to also double as the payment line for those customers wishing to pay at the counter. Once that fiasco moved along we were seated in a (brightly) colorful dining area. Our waitress came right over, poured our coffees, and gave us a quick rundown of the breakfast buffet...everything homemade. We headed up to the line (thankfully it was more organized than the hostess stand) and things moved along smoothly. HOMEMADE carrot cake, raspberry scones, coffee cake, muffins, bagels~yes! homemade!, sandwich bread, pancakes, french toast, biscuits and gravy, scrambled eggs, bacon, sausages, home fries, Irish soda bread, vegetable and meat frittatas, gluten free quiche, oatmeal,...and so much more we didn't get around to! My personal favorite was the raspberry scone...maybe because I thought it was cranberry when I put it on my plate, but then surprised at the raspberry flavor on my first bite. The carrot cake was moist and delicious with plenty of cream cheese frosting (yes, I have a sweet tooth!). The bacon was perfectly cooked. We opted for the scrambled eggs but if you choose, you can have an omelette made by request. My only complaint about any of the food I tasted was the biscuit, which I found to be a bit too dry although the gravy was quite good. My husband voted the pancakes as his favorite. We each made 2 trips through the buffet line and loaded our plates without leaving many crumbs behind. Our waitress along with other servers frequently checked in on us to refill our coffee, drop off additional napkins and to clear away empty plates. They were all friendly and attentive. The buffet costs just under $13 per person and when you consider the food is homemade, it beats any of the breakfast buffets you might get at the hotels. All in all, we had our fill and will certainly visit again when in the area. We were well fueled for our...
Read moreMy wife & I stopped here for breakfast on Sunday. The food here was phenomenal. I wish we knew about this place on the 1st day of our trip. The coffee cake we got was on of the best I have had. I only wish they had walnuts in it but they are very good about people with nut allergies so I totally understand. The counter service was friendly and accommodating. The 2 young Ukrainian girls who waited on us were the same young ladies who bussed our tables the night before at the Brick House restaurant (Previous review). :-) Always nice to see a familiar friendly face. In addition to the Coffee Cake my wife got a fruit bowl & I got the eggs breakfast. Both were delicious.
Loved the friendly atmosphere. Learned a little Ukrainian as well. :-) We would have gone back on Monday morning had we not had car trouble. Too bad I was looking forward to trying the pancakes. We will definitely seek out this establishment on our next trip to the area. I have already recommended it to our friends who live on the cape and others who visit area..
Update 9/21/2025 My wife & I made our annual trip to the cape. Made it a point to return here for breakfast. As usual the food was great & the service was friendly. Had to go back again the next day to grab another piece of the NY style coffee cake. Don't know if they ship but if they did I would definitely order one. If you like coffee cake you and you are in the area make it a...
Read moreWhat a great find! Stopped in for the breakfast buffet and were happy we did. Although there seemed to be a bit of a line outside along the sidewalk and the hostess/cashier station seemed a bit unorganized we were seated as soon as we made it to the front of the line. Our waitress who was very attentive and pleasant gave us a quick overview of the buffet and we were on our way. The food is all fresh and HOMEMADE!! I had a raspberry scone (thinking it was going to be cranberry) but delicious just the same! Carrot cake, coffee cake, cinnamon muffins, home fries, vegetable and meat frittatas...all delicious, all home made! Yes, my husband and I ate our breakfast and lunch fill at this restaurant. The bacon was perfectly done. There were HOME MADE bagels and sandwich bread, some Irish soda bread, sausage, lox, mini muffins, oatmeal, pancakes, french toast, fresh fruit salad, as well as other items. There were biscuits and gravy, the only item I tried and didn't care for (personal opinion...biscuits seemed too dry but the gravy had a good flavor). Overall, I wouldn't hesitate to go back here again and again! The staff continuously checked in on us refilling our coffee multiple times, bringing clean napkins just because, and taking away dirty plates in a timely manner. A great bargain for just under $13.00 per person. Keep up the great cooking! Keep up the great work...nice customer service! Thanks for a wonderful...
