Because of Covid, they changed up from being a buffet to sit down service. Food doesn't taste the same, either - and service is severely lacking. They forgot a few items for our large party. It's so much easier to go up to the buffet and get the small orders of pancakes and bacon vs my five year old getting 3 massive pancakes and she can hardly finish one and paying for it all. The French toast was really soggy and undercooked, the eggs Florentine had overcooked eggs, the avocado toast was tiny and unfulfilling. Only saving grace was the amazing bakery items, as always. Been going here for at least 5+ years and was really disappointed in what's happened. Even the decorations on the wall changed - no more of the personalization of Laura and Tony. They used to have these fantastic mismatched plates and drawings on the wall and it's all the same now. Did they sell to someone else? Did Covid really strike them down? Probably won't come back until they reinstate the buffet. Not worth the money for food that doesn't taste the same and for an atmosphere that's severely lacking from it's glory days. It feels like a hole in the wall vs a personalized experience from the actual Laura and Tony. There were also a ton of ants near my chair, which brought this down to a 3 star

My husband and I were staying at the hotel next to this restaurant so we decided to check this place out. However, we didn’t find our breakfast to be “amazing.” I had a very small avocado toast which didn’t even come with home fries or anything despite paying $14 plus an extra $3 for one egg. It was tasty but compared to other avocado toasts I’ve had, I was underwhelmed. My husband ordered the Meat Lovers omelette special and it looked to consist more of ham than any other meat. We also had a fruit bowl with granola and yogurt that was sad for the following reasons: watermelon was included although it left a big water puddle at the bottom of the bowl (we love watermelon but because of its heavy water content, not a good combo with yogurt), the yogurt wasn’t even Greek yogurt which would have held up better, and there was very little granola included. Overall, we felt our breakfast to be overpriced for what we got.

Really great addition to the Cape food scene. Leaning into excellent homemade baked goods, Laura and Tony have found a formula that seems to work. The cooked breakfast menu has all the usuals, and our daughter especially enjoyed the fluffy and very light pancakes. The avocado toast was good, but the bread wasn't the sourdough that was advertised. The toast was a quite dense, fairly bland doorstop of white bread that didn't add anything to the dish. The avocado however had a great flavor and the egg was perfectly cooked. And, as the reviews had warned...the coffee cake is to DIE FOR. Omg. Indulgent, sweet, crumbly, flaky yumminess. That is an 'every time' purchase. Cape Cod needs more places like this and wishing Laura and Tony's all the best for a strong future.

Never again. $6 coffee cake wasn't cooked, look at the photo. Iced coffee tastes really bad and sketchy and now I have an undrunk $6 coffee. It's really not hard to cook the food and try your coffee before you sell it for the day. No hello and no thank you. I worked in customer service for over 20 years. It's not hard to say thank you especially when the stuff is so expensive. Also, read below where someone responded back to a poor review... it's not the customer's job to do your job. That's what they're paying for. Not to tell you how to do these simple things. Don't put the customer in an awkward position to right obvious wrongs, like cooking the food. That's bully behavior.
