Searching for a place for delicious onion rings when my local Dairy Queen closed. Culver's came up for good food, good service, as well as amazing onion rings. Wrong on all counts. Steve, the owner, should be very disappointed with his restaurant today. I waited behind one car to order for 15 minutes. When it was my turn, I waited another four minutes and had to ask if anyone was there. I placed my order. The order taker didn't know whether or not there was an additional charge for condiments on my burger. Then he said, "Oh, maybe 20 cents." I ordered a single cheese butterburger- no condiments, (didn't wish to confuse the poor chap) and an order of onion rings. While waiting for my food an elderly lady who had to be every bit of 80 years old, hobbled out to deliver several bags of meals to waiting vehicles. She went from one car to the next, back to the first car, seemingly completely confused then hobbled back into the building. I felt sorry for her that she was on her feet which were obviously bothering her. Why would you not hire a younger, spry individual who can scoot around quickly to get people their orders? Well, next, someone came out asking for my credit card stating that it didn't go through the first time. All this time waiting and they hadn't even started to cook my food? There were only three cars ahead of me. Not like it was the dinner hour. Finally, the poor old girl, maybe Steve's grandmother, came out with three more bags of food and wandered around again asking who it belonged to. I guess she didn't know what those numbers were that were slapped onto the mirrors of our vehicles? My burger was barely warm. The bun was soggy. Crispy edges? Nope. The onion rings were room temperature. I was careful when taking a bite not to get burned. No chance of that happening. So apparently the food was being "held" in the store until the old gal had enough to make the trip! I had left work early, starving, looking forward to a new restaurant, great food, and service and was happy to find I didn't have to travel to the west side. So...
Read moreI’m not much of a reviewer but my experience I had to share. Going through the drive-thru the person was nice and asked me to go ahead with my order so I began to order and the person goes hold on a moment. I ordered my meal and asked for a root beer and they told me they were out. Well come back to that. So we order everything is fine at this point and we are handed our drinks and I asked do we get our milkshake too (because usually they give you the shake at the window) and the person replied no we’ll bring it out to you. I noticed 1 maybe 2 cars received their food before us despite us ordering first. Our wait for our food was approximately 20 minutes. So when the person comes out they had all our food which was great but of course no milk shake. So I go into to the store to get my shake and while I was waiting I checked the root beer on the front counter and guess what? The root beer flowed just fine. Had I known this I would have brought my drink in dumped and got the root beer but none the less why tell me it’s out when it isn’t? Anyways so I go and get my shake the person making them was indeed the same person that told me they would bring the shake out. Now all that being said they had one person on counter and one person in drive-thru so I can’t knock them for effort. So as I’m waiting for my shake 2 more employees come from the back. I’m not sure what was going on but the last I wanna say 3 times service has been very slow. It makes sense if there are only 2 workers up front. None the less this total experience took approximately 30 minutes. 20 minutes for food and 10 minutes for a shake. The food was decent but being I had to have it in the car for a while waiting for that shake it wasn’t as good. I won’t take points off for food due to this reason. None the less after this experience and my previous experiences I likely won’t be dining at this location when I come to Eastlake to...
Read moreI would give a zero right now if I could. This experience has been the worst by far that I felt I needed to speak on. I went to the drive thru and the cashier was pleasant. But I noticed a worker coming out to another customer to give them their meal and she called out to the worker to come back because she had gotten the wrong order. So while I’m sitting at the window the cashier tells me to wait and the worker who was just outside comes and hands me the bag he had just given to the lady outside. So I noticed the bag had been open and worn. I got the cashier’s attention and let her know what I saw and asked if my sandwich could be remade. She said sure pull in one of the spots and we will bring it out to you. So I wait 10-15 minutes for the manager to come out and ask me what I had and she said the cashier had rung up my order wrong anyway so they were going to work on it. Fine. The manager comes back out 10-15 minutes later again and says I made you a double instead of a single and gave you fries. I didn’t want fries, I wanted a single burger, and I asked for extra onion did not get that, added bacon, lettuce, ketchup and mustard and mayo. I was given a mayo sandwich with two patties that I did not want basically. That sandwich is not consumable so that was money wasted because even after wiping it down it made me sick to my stomach to even look at will all the mayo and now soggy bread. I will not be returning to this establishment. I appreciate the persistence to fix an error on their part but I should have asked for a refund and went somewhere else. At least I wouldn’t be sitting in the car line...
