I worked here for 8 hours, the owner paid me $30 knowing I'm a single mother of three children. I refused the job when I realized how unsanitary the kitchen was and how dangerous their food essentially is. I felt like on my day of "training" I walked around cleaning filth and trying to put organization into the kitchen. The nephew trained me, I felt like he was a decent chef just had little control over the situation, and I was supposed to be taking his spot?? I'm not even related how was I to fix THE WHOLE RESTAURANT? I noticed the nephew had cut himself, was bleeding, and continued to work with the food. The smell in the kitchen is undescribably disgusting and I could smell it on myself until I took a shower. The next day my car smelled like that just from driving around picking up my children and going home in that "uniform" that I provided and then threw away because the smell of the kitchen was so repulsive. The food is all precooked, frozen and then warmed back up. Nothing has dates or labels on it which was shocking to me as thats highly dangerous in food service. Food was thawed on the unsanitized counter. The salad bar was disgusting. The owner was extremely unapproachable and rude. The $30 for that 8 hours was a slap in the face and I feel like everyone should know what's really going on in...
Read moreI try to leave honest reviews for places, And severino’s is no exception.
Maybe i’m a fool for going & getting spaghetti on a Wednesday ( that’s the special on Wednesday. 5$. What a steal! even comes with salad , & garlic bread.)
But it sucked. I got angel hair spaghetti with 2 meatballs, & a lemonade. There was SO much water in the dish, almost like someone hadn’t strained the noodles well enough. Ruined my garlic bread. Which sucks, Because why would I come to an Italian place that can’t even strain their own noodles? I can’t really complain on the lemonade, because the only lemonade i would die over is the lemonade you can get at the fair, so i’m a bit harsh on others lemonade, but it wasn’t really lemonade here. More like water.
& Maybe i am too critical, That’s okay. But the waitresses don’t know how to listen either. What a shame.
Maybe i’ll give this place a second try, Maybe i won’t. I...
Read moreAs a first time visitor, I have to say I really enjoyed Severinos. Char, the bartender/waitress was really friendly and made us feel at home from the first minute walking in. We ordered takeout, and sat down to wait for our order and have a few drinks. We were almost disappointed that our order was ready, because we were having a good time chatting with the patrons and Char. The food was very good. I had a calzone which was one of the better ones I've had. Sometimes places can mess up marinara, but theirs was rich and flavorful. I also got the Saturday rib special for my dad, and it was a great dinner for the value (20 dollars). I will be visiting severinos again soon for the great...
