Hilliards Chocolates — Restaurant in Easton

This was my first time at Hillards Chocolates and probably my last. In order to receive 5 stars you need to consider more than quality. 5 stars should also include packaging, price, customer service, and Quality. I purchased a pound box of chocolates as a gift which i can not comment on quality however this box 0f 2 pounds of chocolates was $94.85. a .25 tray of fudge for $8.50 and card for $5.95. Total to Hillards was 109.67. purchase 1/7/23. Complaints. Packaging for fudge in rigid plastic containers disguesting plastic vs by the piece and in a paper box like most cand stores. fudge was good quality but I prefer chocolates sparrow in Orleans or Ye Old Pepermint in Andover Ma. Also I hand picked assortment of chocolates but I was not made aware I was being charged an additional price for chocolates for single sm truffels 45.50 on top of 49.35. Lady just kept filling box. I asked do you gift wrap with wrapping paper and girl said no there was a roll of wrapping paper on counter?? They placed a red ribbon on a plain gold box. only sign of Hillard name was plastic sheet inside. 2 women not personable just doing their job. Very 2 star exprience. I cannot rate chocolates as they are a gift however I do not see myself going out of my way to shop at Hillards again. I live down the street from Hilliards and stop in frequently. Yesterday I stopped in with my kids and a friend and weren’t greeted as usual. I noticed two employees behind the register whispering together and I proceeded to browse the shop. As we walked toward the back of the store, I overheard an unmistakable word uttered by the employees and checked to make sure that my children hadn’t been listening. One of the employees then proceeded to follow around a family that I hadn’t noticed earlier. Not engaging or offering help, just conspicuously following them around until the family left. I would like to say that the treatment of the family had no connection to the word or opinions of the employees, except that this word is one that really ought never to be said. I’m appalled that this issue still exists, and especially that both employees seemed to subscribe to the belief. The situation was so profound and made me so uncomfortable that I will not...

I've been going to Hilliards for ever. I love their chocolate and their ice cream. Recently they added an ice cream window, so you can order from outside and they have a nice seating area. However they need a tree or umbrellas becuase there's no shade from the sun. So much chocolate inside it's a kids dream!!! Their homemade jimmies are too die for. I love their truffles. The snowball truffle is amazing!! Chocolate covered Oreos are so delicious you can't eat just one!! They have hard candy too which you can purchase by the pound. They have fudge. You can buy chocolates and truffles by the pound and make up your own box to give to someone. They also have a section of sugar FREE chocolates.
