When I walked in with my wife to grab and early dinner late lunch we asked to sit at the bar... The host looked over and said "sure"... Once we sat at the bar an employee made the statement to the fact of "why are we seating people?", But I guess that would be annoying if I were interrupted by some customers while hanging out with my friends while at work... Then said employee screamed to someone in the back looking for a bartender, then walks in the maybe the manager??? It was hard to tell... But in comes the unammed bartender/manager with her bra showing, disheveled, tired and quiet frankly like the great day ahead of her ruined her life... While trying to figure if we're going to stay or leave the open window to the kitchen was showcasing what seemed like and American Idol audition with every single person on their phone... Music loud enough in the kitchen to make it feel like I've got headphones on... All the while I'm writing this the first employee that "helped" us has made several drinks for her friends but yet she couldn't find the bartender... It turns out that it's okay because the person she's able to serve drinks too was her brother... Her family is more important the customers... Over hearing the conversation with her brother that she purposely put mushrooms on a customer's order after that person asked not to have them on their order because of allergies.... I've been to way better gas stations in the middle of nowhere with better service and an overall better experience... This Olive Garden in Easton MD seriously needs a complete overhaul... Atrocious... Disgusting... Trashy... Horrendous... Unheard of... Unbelievable... Just plain terrible, good luck Olive Garden. Seriously if I couldn't have I wouldn't have given...
Read moreMy wife and I went to this Olive Garden in Easton, MD to celebrate our anniversary together. We had a very enjoyable experience.
Starting with the only two negatives, which were extremely minor with regards to our entire experience. The first negative was that they had two different menus in use. My menu had an additional appetizer, roasted zucchini w/parmesan cheese. Our waitress, Sandy was unaware of it as nobody took the liberty to inform her. My second strike was against the raspberry tea. It was very weak in my opinion. That said, I prefer a robust tea, but I feel this was weaker than it should have been. Really, not a big deal.
As far as everything else, it was outstanding for the price point. I know people feel OG is a bit high in price, but when you compare it to a Ruby Tuesday, whose portions are pathetic, I feel it was a good-great value. The food was all very fresh and it was apparent in its taste. Our waitress was really friendly, as were the two different people who brought us our appetizer and dinners.
Overall, I have not been in an Olive Garden for over 20 years, but my wife who is from Thailand had never eaten at an Olive Garden so we wanted to cross that off of her bucket list. The menu has improved over the past couple of decades and I can honestly say that we will definitely partake in OG again in the future.
Thanks for making our anniversary meal...
Read moreThe food - seafood alfredo had no taste. However what really made me dislike my visit was after the meal. They have this little kiosk at the table. I get it make it easier on the customer. The waiter never said you have to use the kiosk, so I sat there waiting for him to return with the check when he didn't I turned the annoying kiosk around since I had turned it away from me because it kept flashing these commercials. I paid my bill with a lower tip because I was annoyed the waiter never brought the check out or mentioned the kiosk. It printed my receipt but then started flashing red because it was out of paper. Now the waiter shows up. I explained I had made receipt, however since was there in a flash when the machine failed I had not seen the survey. He said oh you didn't do the survey. I told him I didn't want to complete the survey because I was not happy with the meal and he proceeded to enter ratings! I repeated no I do not want it completed but he doesn't hand over the kiosk when I reach for it. Here's moved past the survey and says do you want to leave a comment again I said no reach for it and he clicks keys for a comment and then submits. Come on one button is skip not the two handed texting he was doing. This was just too much and I'm not a person to cause a scene so I left. I have choices and this Olive garden will never be on my...
