Alright, gather 'round, y'all, and lean in close. I gotta tell you about a place, but you gotta promise me you'll keep it on the down-low, alright? This is strictly between us... and, well, whoever else is reading this.
There's this little joint called Route 85. Now, don't go expecting any fancy-schmancy stuff. We're talking about a place where the neon sign flickers more than it shines, the bar stools have seen better days, and the only thing fresher than the beer is the gossip.
Route 85 ain't winning any awards for its decor, but what it lacks in aesthetics, it more than makes up for in character. It's the kind of place where you walk in and instantly feel like you're part of the family. Even if your family's a little... eccentric.
The food? Let's just say it's "honest." We're talking burgers that are juicy enough to require a stack of napkins, fries that are crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside, and chili with a side of homemade cinnamon rolls that'll make you wanna slap your mama (but don't, because she probably loves Route 85 too).
But the real magic of Route 85 isn't the food or the drinks. It's the people. It's the regulars who've been holding down the same bar stools for decades, the friendly bartenders who know your order before you even open your mouth, and the occasional karaoke night that turns into a town-wide singalong.
Now, here's the dilemma. The owners of Route 85, bless their hardworking souls, deserve all the success in the world. They've poured their hearts and souls into this place, and they've created something truly special.
But selfishly, I don't want Route 85 to become the next big thing. I don't want to have to fight for a parking spot or wait in line for a burger. I want to keep it our little secret, a hidden gem that only the truly deserving get to experience.
So, here's the deal: If you decide to check out Route 85, promise me you'll treat it with respect. Be kind to the staff, tip generously, and don't go blabbing about it to everyone you meet. Let's keep Route 85 our little slice of small-town heaven, okay? And if they ask how you heard about it, just tell 'em a little bird told ya. Just don't mention my name. They might cut me off, and that's a risk I'm not...
Read moreOur group decided to try Route 85 Grill today for the first time. Sadly, it will be our last. By simply looking at the building and menu I chose not to touch any food and warned everyone we were with, unfortunately they had to learn the hard way.
Waited almost 15 for drinks (they were out of iced tea) and they were wrong when they arrived. 3 out of 4 lunch orders also arrived incorrectly and they were again missing simple things like, crackers. They were out of chicken tenders as well. The cinnamon buns were so hard a fork couldn't cut them. There could be much more said about this place, but this is just a warning to everyone and not a book.
All in all, they don't have a trained cook, fresh food or good service. Eaton...
Read moreI placed a to-go order today for a burger and a chicken sandwich. When I arrived at the restaurant to pick up my order, the service was great! I was promptly greeted and taken care of quickly. When I returned home to eat my order, I noticed that my chicken sandwich was still pink in the middle and had to throw it out. We enjoyed the burger, sweet potato fries, and the jalapeño poppers. They were delicious! Just bummed that the chicken wasn’t...
