I love the Puerto Vallarta in Yelm and was expecting this one too be on par. Unfortunately it was definitely not. We decided to stop for lunch. When we got there, there was one other table occupied. We waited about 5 min to be acknowledged when we walked in. The hostess(friendly enough) then asked how many? Told her 2. She said sit where ever you want. We choose a corner booth with a window view. Did not ask us what we would like to drink. Handed us the menus and walked away. A few minutes later she brought over chips and salsa. A few minutes after that a waiter(never once smile or really even looked us in the eyes) came over and asked if we were ready to order? Gave him our orders and ordered drinks. My husband asked for a Michelada. A beer of choice and spicy Bloody Mary mix w/lime. He left and returned with my ice tea and let my husband know they didn't have the beer he requested (Coors light). So my husband requested a different beer. About 5 minutes later he brought the drink out. We ordered the advertised jalapeno poppers appetizer they had advertised at the table. When we had them in Yelm a few weeks ago they were amazing. When they were brought to our table they looked nothing like the picture and nothing like the ones we had in Yelm. They were supposed to be fully wrapped in bacon and roasted. The ones they brought to us had one skinny piece of greasy bacon around the middle. The cream cheese inside was not even throughly melted and 2 of the 4 jalapenos had not been de-seeded. They brought the appetizer sampler plater that my husband and I had ordered to share over at this point. The tiny chicken wings had good flavor. The mozzarella sticks were not even remotely cooked through. The rest was edible. We were disappointed in the food...
Read moreUpon entering the restaurant the girl who sat us kept giving us weird looks and then called herself an idiot for grabbing 1 too many menus. There was a swarm of flies everywhere, we were then sat at a table next to the window where there was what appeared to be an ant infestation. We immediately moved to a different table and not even 5 minutes later a family was sat where we were. We let the busboy know and he moved the family, needless to say they ignored the issue. Our food came out cold and freezerburnt like and just did not taste good. The only decent tasting item was the queso but it appeared to have sat for a few minutes before reaching our table. Complaint was made to the assistant manager who comped our entire meal and besides the food all of the employees walking around just gave weird vibes. We were asked by multiple different employees how things were going and none of them were a waiter or waitress (weird?????). Assistant manager said they are under new management and hope to have things get better soon but I don't feel confident in trusting that. We checked the DOH inspection from July 24th and I was disgusted that we saw the same things happen. We ended up eating elsewhere but this establishment needs to be shut down before serving...
Read moreThis shouldn’t even receive 1 star. I generally don’t ever complain or write reviews but the minute we walked in the server gave us a weird look. Sat us at a booth that had ants crawling out the walls onto the table. Flies everywhere. No one asked us if we wanted water, we had to bring it up. Once we got our water they brought us an additional set of water. Communication sucks. So we asked to move tables. Of course flies followed. Another family came in and they sat that family at the table infested with ants so we let them know, they moved the family.. Finally after 30 min we order our food. Food comes out cold and sticking to the plate... tamale freezer burnt no joke. The only thing that was hot was the queso but even that you can tell sat for a while giving it seeped through the sopipilla it was in and stuck to the plate. Flies on the food. Had to keep asking for our waiter. Finally spoke with someone. Comped our food/drinks but won’t return which is sad because we just moved to town and we love this kind of...
