Terrible service... I love ceviche so I was super excited to try it. However it was rubbery and lacked flavor. They serve tomatoes in most of their dishes but they buy flavorless tomatoes. Super disappointing. We also had chips and salsa and tacos and after we'd been there maybe 15 mins the manager came over and asked if we were doing well. We said yes, thank you. She then took our salsa my bf was about to dip his chip into and dumped it in the trash behind him, before we even realized what was happening. They had at least 10 other tables open and we were not overstaying. We had seriously just started eating maybe 10 mins before she dumped it. NEVER GOING BACK THERE AGAIN. P.S. Salsa and chips is not free, you have to pay for it... so she threw out the food we were in the middle of eating. They obviously need different management and better vendor's.
Reply to owner. You did stop by, yes. You asked us how our food was. We said good. Then nothing else was said but you took the salsa away. If you were seriously getting the chips and salsa I would have thought you'd clear the chips too, and not just the salsa. Then we did think, guess she wants us out, so we threw the chips out and put the dishes in the dish pile as per the sign, and then did ask to speak with a manager just to let them know what had just happened. When she said it was you, we did explain what happened and that you took the salsa when we were still in the middle of eating. You said "oh I'm sorry, I can get you more salsa" . I replied and said "well we already threw out our chips, so what's the point?" Then you stood there and didnt reply to that, so yes, we did leave. Perhaps you were busy and meant to ask if we were done eating. However, you only asked how stuff was going. When you took the salsa my boyfriend and I were just so stunned. I have worked in the food industry for many years as well, and I did not care to say the food flavor was not what I'd hoped for. Had our food we did pay for, not get thrown out, I would have not made a review. Instead, we would have just never gone back, or reccomend the...
Read moreMy favorite thing to get here are the tacos, and the mimosas were great! The staff has always been really nice and helpful too. I think it's worth trying if you haven't yet!
The only criticism I have is from was awhile back when I tried the chips and queso. What I actually got was ballpark nachos, except the cheese for those would have still been better. It was so disappointing and annoying because you could tell the cheese was from a can or a jar like the ones in the isle at the grocery store (yet still more expensive than concession stand+store combined). It was super thick and basically at room temp. It was just gross. Queso is a must whenever I get Mexican food, so it's deterred me from going back much after that. Felt like a cheap and terrible way to pinch pennies for something so simple and popular. Disappointing, since the other items we had were great. I sincerely hope they've changed it since then, but I have no desire to even try it again to find out. [Aaaaand end of...
Read moreSee below. Our department purchased another taco bar for a picnic. Everything was ready to go, tasty, and easy to set up and serve.
I had it an occasion to walk through the kitchen when I was getting the items. I also had a peek into the walk-in refrigerator. What I can tell you is that Everything in the food preparation area is SPOTLESS. This shows attention to detail.
I purchased a taco bar for 55 people at a company picnic. Everything was prepared on time and boxed up for me to get in an efficient manner. I was offered disposable chaffing dishes and Sterno heaters which worked great.
The entire process was easy on my end and reasonably priced. I chose several extras and paid less than $13 per person which was very reasonable for the quality and quantity of food. Everyone at the picnic thought the food was tasty and liked the set up very much.
Good taste, good value, good service, plentiful quantity…I would certainly choose Silly...
