What a shame I'm 32 now this was my first mexican food of my life I've ate here religiously my life whole life even when i lived quite a distance away i still made it a point to stop in and order it as much as i could driving over 45 minutes to see and witness the wonderful smile of the Great Maria a few years back I'll say around 2016ish it started to change she was getting older as were the awesome cooks new faces began showing up behind the counter and the quality held high but since their "renovation" its fallen apart cold food extremely long wait times if you place a pick up and they say 15 to 20 minutes best choice is wait a half an hour or more your food probably wont be done or cooked theres a few young girls who work in there that are very kind sweet ladies and the two main cooks are decent dudes also. But the lack of caring about the customers has finally ended my support today I called at 330 on a saturday are they busy possibly sure but idk so first it rings for a minute and a half then an answer only to rudely be told to wait. By now I am very used to this while calling this place so I sat and waited. And waited and waited. I waited for over 15 minutes just to see how long til they actually cared about their patrons it confirmed they care very little as when the phone was finally picked up it was another rude tone and response "yeah what did you want now" I said just to see how long you made me wait on a phone. I'm sorry taco E I'm sorry Maria I hope your retirement is great this business died when you left. Thank you to the new people for killing a life long love of mine I wish the best for your business I hope one day you guys can get it together but as for now my passion and love for taco E is dead and gone very...
Read moreI have been eating here since they opened and also ate at the Taylor location when it was open years ago. I love the food. I give the food 5 stars. Today Thursday 12/09/2021 We drove 11 miles to eat there and ended up sitting there for 15 minutes. The waitress never came out to the dinning room the whole time we were there. It wasn't that busy. There was only one other table with customers. I understand that the waitress also has to answer the phone and take care of carryout orders but 15 minutes is way too long without even being acknowledged. We finally just got up and left. Can't get service. While we were on our way out a customer walked in and said that he called to place an order and was put on hold. After waiting 9 minutes on hold he decided to just drive there to place his order. He still had the phone in his hand and was still on hold when he walked up to the counter. The waitress gave him some kind of excuse about something wrong with the blinking lights on the phone. The problem is the waitress that was working today. Every time we eat there and she is working, the service is terrible. Have to wait forever to get a menu and order drinks. Then she disappears again. When we finally get drinks and place an order she comes back with part of the order. She has to go back and we have to wait again. Sometimes it's multiple trips to finally get what we ordered. We never have any problems with the other waitresses. They are all wonderful. I wish there was an email so that I could ask which days this waitress works. That way I would be sure never to go there on the days that she works. No email so now I have to make a decision as to whether I should ever eat there again. It's...
Read moreDecided to give this place a try and so glad we did. Sign on the door states family owned since 1979. Food was very good. We started with guacamole that was creamy and carried a nice flavor. I got a combination plate of chimichanga and 2 tacos came with rice and beans, and enough food for about 2 meals, so come hungry. My wife ordered the especial salad with chicken, it was layered with flavor. About the only thing I would knock on here would be the salsa was very thin and watery but wasn't bad. The best part in my opinion was they didn't kill everything with cilantro, which done places do that and I can't eat cilantro. Dining area was a little dark but not bad and it is a little tight, while we were there it got busy and they do a ton of carryout orders, so the entry area got crowded. We will...
