Bulldog Pizza Edgewood — Restaurant in Edgewood

We have been regular customers at Bulldog Pizza since they opened. Despite inflation crunching into our budget, we ate there on the regular because we wanted them to stay in business. Their pizza was fabulous and their service was stellar. Being gluten intolerant in VZ county is challenging and we were so glad to have a delicious gluten free pizza option so close to home. We have recommended Bulldog to so many people over the last year.

But ever since the owners opened On The Edge around the corner, the quality of both food and service at Bulldog has begun a steady nose dive.

This is most apparent in the area of carry-out orders. The last three carry-out orders we’ve placed were simply dreadful.

Several weeks ago we called in an order and got home to find that our pizza wasn’t even cooked completely; the dough in the center of all three pizzas was still raw and cold.

Prior to that we had called in an order, arrived after the recommended 20 minutes and paid upon arrival; it was only AFTER we paid that we were informed that our orders had not yet been started. We ended up waiting another 45 minutes for our food.

And last night I placed an order for a single GLUTEN FREE pizza and got home to find that it was NOT a gluten free pizza. This kind of failure in service could hospitalize someone and I’m glad we realized it was a regular crust before diving in. I was able to refrigerate it for a different family member but I still had to figure out dinner after paying $20 for a medium pizza I could not eat.

WOW! I decided to try this place for lunch with a friend today, and it's now one of my absolute favorite places! Not only were the people working there some of the friendliest & most helpful people I've met in quite a while, the food was absolutely DELICIOUS! Pizza crust was light and fluffy, while still being crispy, excellent flavor! The salad was super fresh with amazing non- fake chemical tasting ranch dressing... I'm not a pizza lover yet will find it hard to stray from ordering it and a salad everytime when coming back here often to try the rest of them menu! The owner and her daughter said they are opening some other restaurants in town over the next (year?) or so and this makes me excited to try the new places too. 200% would recommend ...

My first time trying out this place. I place a pick up order on line. It said my order would be ready by 5:50. I got there at 5:55 and i waited by the register with the one and only person working only talking to everyone else waiting. never once greeted, talked to me asked me anything. by 6:20 i peaked my head in the back “hey, by chance have you started on my online order?” she rolled her eyes and kept saying “what” as if she couldn’t hear me. after repeating my self she told me it would be another 20 minutes. I paid $20 for two tiny tiny pizzas that were 1. burnt 2. cold & 3. dry!!
