Truly one of the saddest days I have eaten at this restaurant in ordered here multiple times a week over the last two years and have to tell you before recent days their fried okra and fried catfish and multiple other dishes to add to the list ruined me for other restaurants because none compared to the taste flavor texture and just down home cooking that I was given whether it was eating there or got it for take-home It was always superb above and beyond well I have to say not no more I'm very highly disappointed in the In the catfish that I received the last two weekends had relatively non-existent flavoring as before and this last batch I did not order my normal six piece I ordered the four piece being cautious and thank goodness I did I was only able to eat two and three quarters of a pieces because the remainder was not really fish it was crispy hard to wear I couldn't eat it the flavoring was gone that was so wonderful before my okra that I just adored was no longer for the first time ever in two years I dipped my okra from here in ketchup that is the first for me ever eating fried okra from this place never before have I opened a bottle of ketchup when ordering food from here and the charter sauce that was so delicious before well let's package prepackaged plain Jane run of the mill get it anywhere order it off of bulk tartar sauce highly highly upset and really disappointed that I'm going to have to look for different location to order my multiple meals that me and my mother both enjoy multiple times a week going to have to drive further I guess down home...
Read moreI have had the pleasure of dining at Lumberyard Cafe on multiple occasions, both for breakfast and dinner, and I must say, it is one of my favorite spots. The staff consistently exudes friendliness, making every visit a pleasant experience. Their warm and welcoming demeanor sets the tone for a delightful meal.
The food at Lumberyard Cafe is always delicious. A standout for me is the ham steak—an impressive, giant slab of ham that is incredibly flavorful, juicy, and delicious. Another favorite of mine is the Philly cheesecake potato. Despite its generous portion, which I often cannot finish, it remains a delightful and savory dish.
The atmosphere and decor of the cafe add to its charm, creating a cozy and inviting environment. However, it is worth noting that the restaurant is quite narrow, and the tables are placed close to each other, which can feel a bit cramped at times. Additionally, the parking situation at the front can be challenging, as those spots require backing into the road.
Despite these minor inconveniences, Lumberyard Cafe remains a top choice for me. The quality of the food and the exceptional service more than make up for the limited space and parking quirks. I have never been disappointed by a meal here, and their sweet tea is always perfect.

Read moreI normally go to The LumberYard Cafe two or three times a month pretty much every Sunday every other Sunday and the food is normally awesome. Went there today Sunday morning February 13th and me and my friends breakfast was cold. So we asked them just to pop it in the microwave instead of fixing something new so they did so the food was good except the fact that my friend had scrambled eggs and found eggshells in her eggs and the coffee cup that she received for with her coffee in it had or should I say was not very clean around the lip of the cup. But for the most part and normally I don't know if this has anything to do with new management coming in or move I don't know what it is but anyway normally the food is very very good like I said me and my friend we go there every Sunday or every other Sunday at least and we live in Canton so anyway I will be going back but like because like I said it's really some of the best breakfast you can find around. But I will say since our food was cold and found eggshells in the eggs they decided not to charge us for the coffee, and no not looking for a free meal just saying the restaurant was packed as usual on a Sunday morning so anyway y'all have...
