Our Place Pizza & Catering — Restaurant in Edison

If I was able to not give this place a star I would. Warning* if you order the gluten-free pizza, do not do it. If you have a gluten allergy I ordered this and first they told me over the phone that it is their own crust that they make in house from scratch which is not true. It is a premade frozen gluten-free crust that goes on an aluminum tray for those who know, also, I ordered the gluten-free pizza veggie pie which they put breaded eggplant pieces on top, which I’ve never seen before especially if there are breadcrumbs does not make it a gluten-free pie specially, for those that have an allergy to gluten, celiacs, etc. Also buddy of mine that went with me had three slices, one veggie one sausage and one regular plain slice and he said that it tasted like the dough was old and it had a weird smell to it. So when I asked about why did they put breaded eggplant cutlets on a gluten-free pie cut up the girl at the front had no idea and the Cook in the back/owner maybe didn’t really care when it was brought to his attention, I told him I did not want anything, and we got my friends...

Our place pizza and catering is a decent neighborhood pizzeria. Tonight I got two plain slices and a penne vodka slice. I went ahead and asked for extra vodka sauce on top so the ziti didn’t dry out and become crispy and hard. I only ate two of the three slices. All in all, the plain slice was good. If you like cheese, you will definitely like this pizza as they do load it up with cheese. You still taste the sauce however so that does not drown out the taste of the sauce. I would like a crisp, beer undercarriage, however they do cook it all the way through so it’s not as if it is undercooked. They have decently priced lunch specials and if you sign up for their text messaging, you will get coupons texted to you for 20% off and things to that nature. Another bonus is that they do deliver and they have their own delivery drivers so you’re not waiting an hour on someUber driver picking up and dropping off multiple deliveries with yours showing up last an hour late and cold. I used to come here because the food is actually pretty decent, but holy moly the customer service is terrible. I called once to order ahead a panini with fries. When I got there they gave me a panini with fries, and another order of fries. When I said I didn’t want the extra order, they literally started arguing with me!

I decided to give them another chance after that, ordering my go-to caprese panini - when I got home, there were peppers on it. Peppers are not part of the sandwich. I DESPISE peppers. I called them, and the guy told me I had to come back if I wanted them to replace it. I said I wasn’t going to drive all the way back after just getting home (I’m about 10 minutes away) and asked them to please deliver the replacement.

About 45 minutes later a very rude delivery guy showed up with just a replacement panini, not the fries that go with it. I guess I was supposed to sit and eat the previous fries while I waited for my sandwich? After that I stopped going. Shame, cause I really did like...
