Jade garden chinese restaurant — Restaurant in Edison

Got takeout at Jade Garden. It’s very close by and in a convenient location. There is lots of parking. Recently, they must have changed owners or something because the decor completely changed.

We ordered the chicken and broccoli combo and beef and green beans combo. I was very disappointed with the wonton soup because it lacked flavor. It was just me slurping egg whites. The hot and sour soup had more flavor and kick to it. It had mushrooms and tofu too. Overall, the main dishes could have more seasoning or flavor. The gravy for chicken and broccoli was lacking and could have been thicker. I also think there was more rice than main dish but maybe that was the shape of the container...

It hurts me to see once one of the best Chinese Restaurants in NJ, End up as one of the worst ,Been going there since 2004 when I worked in the area was me & my co workers favorite Lunch spots as well as me & my wife date nite sometimes spot the Food was out of this world ,My last visit I was given bad ,sour Chix & broccoli 🥦 I noticed it when I opened the container something was off ,After a 2 bites I realized the Chicken was bad Pure garbage stay away from this place also I got Brown rice instead of Fried rice ,This place is disgusting 🫣 Horrible food...

Did a large catering order for a local client. Basically ordered 2 trays of almost every "House special". I tried a little from each tray. My goodness, the quality of food was the best Chinese food Ive ever had. I mean at a level way beyond most Chinese Restaurants on the entire Bklyn/Staten Island/Edison area.
