I was super excited to go as the reviews of this place seem great and I had never been. Went for dinner last night and called ahead to make sure it wasn’t too busy to which they answered they weren’t. We got there with plenty of open tables and were seated as soon as we arrived, it took 10 minutes for our waitress to finally come and get our drink order. The table next to us came in about 5 mins after and had chips and salsa and waters for the table faster then we received our margaritas. Finally about 20 minutes in of just looking over the menu with no drinks or chips and salsa, the waitress finally comes over with 2 margaritas and asks if we’re ready to order, to which we answer yes. She then follows up with “oh okay well let me go get a paper from my boss”..... Okay..... So we wait for her to come back and when she does we ask about the appetizer to which she doesn’t really know but we order one anyway, I also ordered the queretaro plate and adobo plate. After about 7 mins of taking our order our food comes out mmm sketchy but the plate is warm. It’s not till I taste the rice and beans that I realize only the plate was warm (sitting under the heat lamps too long) and the entree is pretty much cold. The same goes for my boyfriend’s plate. We never even received our app. We had a movie to catch so we didn’t say anything and didn’t have the time for the restaurant to do what they should already be doing correctly. Terrible service, subpar Mexican food only thing you’ll get hot are...
Read moreThe service was great. We were greated upon entering, seated pretty quickly. Our waitress was courteous and attentive with the drinks. The place itself is beautiful, love the atmosphere. The food on the other hand was not that good. I ordered the 'Fiesta Shrimp' (shrimp wrapped in bacon with cheese on top, served with a rice pilaf and mashed potatoes). Once the order was placed our waitress came back to inform me that they were out of mash potatoes, no biggie I ordered french fries instead. I just thought it was odd they had ran out of mashed potatoes mid day on a Tuesday. Once my plate came out, the first thing I noticed was this huge glob of melted cheese. You couldn't even see the shrimp, I had to dig the shrimp out. I love cheese don't get me wrong, but it was so much it was just overwhelming. The shrimp itself was ok, the bacon that was wrapped around wasn't cooked all the way and that threw me off. My daughter ordered the flautas from the kids menu, I took a bite and the meat inside was so dry. I guess this place is a hit or a miss. I see both wonderful reviews and not so good reviews. This was my first time eating at this location. I am open to eating there again and trying my luck...
Read moreNever been so torn about rating a place, but here goes: the drinks? Fabulous! I mean that, bartender lady is the bomb! The service: Primo! Attentive, friendly, and is kind translating for those of us who know little spanish. The food: sigh so disappointing. where to begin, ordered the 3 meats, beef tonuge, lamb cheek, pork (carnitas). It came plated cold, like fridge cold, so yeah there's that. Flavor, I'm going to say tasteless. I'll leave it at that, as a foodie, that's as kind as I can be. Value: nope! One thing spanish food of any kind/culture has in common is value, you should be full! Cheese, salsa, sour cream, all the toppings should FLOW and here you will be charged for some shredded cheese, no quac, salsa, anything will be on that plate and I overheard the next table bitterly complaining they paid extra for it and didnt get it. Cheapo owner? Stingy? Mizer? IDK, but I'm not coming back for food. Someone wants to have drinks here let's go, but we can eat next door at the bbq place for the meal, I'll pass on this no talent cold food kitchen and cheapo owner who won't put cheese and salsa on a plate for the price...
