El Chihuahuitas Tacos Al Pastor — Restaurant in El Paso

Saturday, May 8th, 2021 my family decided to go with a catering service with El Chihuahuita's Tacos Al Pastor. We order 180 plates containing tacos, rice and beans. As any restaurant owner they would feel grateful that we are supporting a local business. We asked them to arrive at 3:00 PM - 5:00 PM to have plates prepared for our baby shower drive by. They arrived at 3:50 PM with only two employee as one of them was the owner and someone who seemed like they were in training. We started the drive by a little after 4:00 PM to allow the owner to set up. Due to them arriving late they were not able to keep up with the service as they were falling behind. This caused so much frustration which slowed down that pace of the drive by. I understand if you are owner you want to save money but do not ruin your reputation and cut corners. Halfways through the drive by the owner has the audacity to tell us that they ran out of beans. With having slow service, not enough product and the food tasting okay we asked the owner to compensate some of the cost. The owner pretty much said it's not my problem we cannot compensate you. On top of this they clearly did not use up the 180 plates. They were planning to use the food we paid for with another catering event they had later that evening . I called to place an order for a 4 people parrillada and asked specifically if the Pastor meat was from the Trompo, lady rushed and asked if they were and confirmed and assured me it was. That will be the only reason to place this big order. When I was on the restaurant the cashier was not friendly, no greeting, no eye contact, not even a thank you. One young lady server, help me carry the big tray, she was nice and made small conversation. Once i took the tacos home, the meat appeared to be seasoned as El Pastor like flavor but not from El Trompo. One can confirm this, by looking and tasting the Real Pastor Meat from Trompo and compared with the one you get. The tacos did not have the texture of Trompo. The tacos were pork with Pastor flavor, like the meat you buy at the supermarket that has the flavor but is not from the Trompo. Tacos were edible and had a good taste. But not from El Trompo, unless they make it with a non traditional trompo. This clarification should have been honest at the beginning of the call. It would have been...

I've been wanting to try this New little Food Dive "El Chihuahitas" right down the street from Ysleta High ... And so today was the day 😁 ... Let Me start by telling Y'all that this Place is really Clean and Sanitary ... Totally My type of place to go eat ... The Service was Prompt and Very Friendly 👍 ... And the Food was downright Delicious 🤤 ... I ordered the Huevos Rancheros and they were Very tasty with this made in My own kitchen Homemade look and taste ... My Breakfast plate consisted of: Huevos Rancheros, Frijoles Charros, Papas de Casa, 4 Tortilla's de Maiz, Chips and Salsa (The Salsita had some Very Good Heat) ... And Finally "Get a load of This" Two Pancakes!!! 🥞 ... Wow!!! ... That was a Big Breakfast 😁 ... And wait for it!!! ... Wait for it ... It was only $8.99 ... With a Diet Coke 👍 ... I Highly recommend El Chihuahuitas ... The Meñu is really Awesome with lot's of Mexican Food Choices ... Y'all Come Check it...
