I have been hearing quite a lot about this place and seen the name come up as highly recommended in a few FB posts and discussions. We had an appointment on base and thought we'd take the chance to try it out for lunch. Place was pretty nice in comparison to nearby establishments and considering the neighborhood it is in. Place was pretty decent in size. It had a dining section, and another with bar and high seating.

There were a few tables occupied when we came, but we were immediately attended to. We ordered Kimchi Fries, Cannon Balls, Kimchi Burger and Salmon Burger, and I upgraded my side to onion rings. She asked for how we wanted our burger, I said medium rare for my Kimchi Burger and of course, well-done for the Salmon, duh! They did not have flavored nor sweet tea so I got me a lemonade to go with my meal.

The orders came out in a timely fashion. First the Cannon Balls and Kimchi Fries. The servings were a lot more than I thought, however, they were nothing great. The Cannon Balls were a little bland for me. It was all potatoes and no cheese. I couldn't taste the cheese, not a bit and so I dissected and I couldn't see any cheese too. The spicy ranch pretty was the only thing that gave the dish some taste. As for the Kimchi Fries, it was tasty. They did not have Bulgogi Beef available and offered to substitute it with Spicy Pork, which we agreed to. It was okay. It tasted more like Carnitas Fries than Kimchi Fries because of hardly any Kimchi in it and too much fresh jalapeno. The Onion Rings was nothing great, as well.

As for the Kimchi and Salmon Burger, they were both okay. Burger Patty was bland and we couldn't taste nor find the mango relish as indicated on the menu. I was also disappointed not to find the BBB grill marks on the bun like they do on all or most of the pictures I have seen.

Ordered from the border burger bar multiple times with horrible results. I don't expect the food to be super fresh since we ordered from Uber eats. It takes time to be delivered. I do expect the order to be correct on the other hand which the last 3 times in a row it hasnt been. If they aren't going to place something in the order because they can't charge you extra for it then at least a courtesy phone call offering the ordered items to be payed for so you can at least get them isn't much to ask for. When they're out of potatoes so there are no fries other then sweet potato fries a call should be made informing customers so they can make a decision about what they've already paid for. So that getting three sides of sweet potato fries instead of the two sides regular, one side truffle, and one side of sweet that was ordered and paid for isn't a surprise once your food gets there. Or your sandwich having a different meat cause they were out of the one it comes with. If we were sitting their dining room I doubt our food would just be brought out however they decided to make it without us being notified that there needs to be changes because they're out of something. I doubt that you would just not get the sides you asked for because they charge extra had we been sitting in the actual restaurant. A smushed burnt sandwich would have been taken back immediately. There is absolutely NO reason that a customers order is any less important or deserves any less quality because it comes to the restaurant in a way other then their dining room.
