La Fogata — Restaurant in Elberton

I typically order a Chili Riano in a combination when I visit a Mexican restaurant and this was the worst I have ever had. It was basically Queso mixed with ground beef with a couple chunks of green peppers mixed in. The taco that I received with my combo had less flavor then what I have made at home and the burrito was sad, same kind of flavorless meat that was in the taco only covered with a Campbell Soup like sauce with a hint of flavor. I would have sent it all back and gone hungry but we were there with family and this was there recommendation. My wife’s chicken burritos on the other hand were AMAZING the flavor and tenderness flavor the meat was some of the best I have ever had! She ordered the Burritos mexicana, later she informed me that on the menu it said it was fajita chicken meat. My parents ordered fajitas to share and that too was of a deferent caliber all together then my combination. The steak, chicken and shrimp were all tender and the vegetables were well flavored. It was like we ordered from two different restaurants. The service was shoddy everything seemed to take forever when we did get service we seemed like we were being a burden. Getting more chips you would think they were made of gold or the server had stock in the company. Bottom line- steer clear of the combos and go fajita, and if you don’t want to spend the money then steer clear...

It's fair... first time there. The food was fresh and cooked and served extremely quickly 🤯 Now upon entering, the staff wasn't rude but rush rush and not really welcoming. The food was delicious and after three attempts lol the server gave us time to order. The feel of the staff was like, we serve you food, we get our tips and checks and simply go home, in other words no flavor, no personality. Other than that we got what we requested, now our server did get lost a few times and when the place died down, we saw like 4 workers just chilling sitting down on their phones. I paid with card and put $2 on the table. The guy didn't see the $2 and when he picked up the receipt he was looking directly at the tip part and I laughed and gave him the two dollars. It's like he kept counting it like it was going to multiple 😅😆or I was gunna give him more or something. Just work on being welcoming, approachable, and patient and you shall get more...

I only gave 1 star for the food. The manager charged me $1 more than what was listed for the item and I asked him to remove it. He asked me if I ate the food, I told him yes but the price was incorrect! He called the police over $1 and did not want to give me my taxes back either and a waitress that had nothing to do with it gave me a dollar and tried to argue with me about the situation when I asked for my 7 cents in tax as well. The manager is rude and completely unfair and if you frequent this business please beware of your receipt. I paid $60 for my meal and was nice the whole time up until I asked for the manager. To get the police called while with my 3 kids and asking a manager to correct a wrong is so completely uncalled for and unprofessional. Be careful who you patronize because its really not...
