Danny's Bar & Grill — Restaurant in Elfers

My husband and I usually go there on Tuesday's for the trivia that is run by the AMAZING DJ Danny Jamz!!!!! This DJ is so great, that we HAD to have him DJ our wedding!!!! But, it's not his fault that when the questions are out of date, or just plain wrong. Or that, when it was bought by new owners, in the approximate 2 years they've owned the place, the only updates they've made were glasses with the bar's name on it, new menus (with the same misspellings and products), and a higher turnover rate of employees!!! I have literally lost count of how many chefs they've gone through!!!!! Thankfully, our favorite waitress, Tiffany, is still there!!! And, they have a GREAT drink they give you when you go there on your birthday. You're just gonna hafta go there for yourself to find out what it is! Cuz, I am not giving them any free advertising!!!!! LOL!!!!! Anywho, they used to have AWESOME chili, and it was great to put on the nachos (BTW, the half-plate is MORE than enough to share!!!!) But, I guess whichever chef that particular recipe belonged to, they must've fired. We had stopped going for about 9 months or so, due to the inattention of a new female bartender that no longer works there. My husband was accosted by a drunk patron, and she was OBLIVIOUS to it!!! I mean, the guy who accosted my husband sure as hell wasn't doing it quietly!!!! And, all she did was to keep on serving drinks!!!! The ONLY REASON why I am giving 3 star's, and not 2, is because of the good times we have there when Danny Jamz is running the show! Otherwise, they'd be lucky to get 2 stars out...

A great place with a great staff and owners. Always good specials and the food here may be one of the hidden gems of Pasco county. Prices are more than reasonable with portion sizes better than most bar/pub fare around. A good selection of liquor and beer with new beers on tap on a semi-regular basis. They always have a few seasonal beers and usually offer 1 or 2 new beers that are trending popular on the market. It is a smoking bar and this may deter some people outright but honestly it never seems too smoky. Only the most sensitive should beware. Although I do smoke so my opinion on the matter may be different than non smokers. It is a kid friendly bar during the day (before 9pm) and with good lunch specials is a great place for families too. For full disclosure I used to be an employee but haven't worked there in almost a year and I am still happy to frequent Danny's for the good food and drinks and the fun atmosphere. If you haven't checked them out yet, you should. My only real complaint: some of the bands play way too loud for the size of the venue. So if there is a band playing, and you aren't there for the band, you may find conversation difficult. But at least most of the bands they book are fairly talented. And as a side note, Danny's is a sports bar/pub above all else. So the jukebox may be paused during any "home" (Tampa bay) team game of any sport. Me and my husband walked in tonight Tuesday 7/8/25 to enjoy a couple buckets and appetizers and were very excited to play trivia. As soon as we got there we asked if they could change the channel to the rays game and the brown haired bartender said they were not allowed to. We got a bucket and politely asked if they could change the channel again and the brown haired bartender got really rude and said she can’t change the TVs that the owner keeps the remotes locked up and she really couldn’t do anything. We said okay and politely asked if we could pay for these 2 beers and they take back the rest of the bucket she did and we cashed out. As soon as we got up to leave they decided to change the tv for another customer at the bar to mock us. We come here often and will never be back as the bartenders were extremely rude.
