This place is fantastic. They lost a star because of the Greek Salad.
Everything has been great even the salad ... HOWEVER .. the greek salad with gyro meat is $10 dollars. They add 2.99 for the gyro meat (or chicken) and when i received it, there were 4 strips of gyro meat...4 .. ?? Makes a consumer feel like they were ripped off.
I can see 6.99 for the salad and +.99 for the 4 strips of meat but 2.99???? and the the thing is that the gyro meat makes the salad soooo much better.
Everything else has been perfect ... Pizza is great, tasty, authentic NY style - chewy dough pizza. The garlic knots are amazing too (soak them in the garlic oil a little longer to make them better)...
EDIT: Originally wrote this review after my first order about a year ago.
I have ordered a few more times since then and here is what i have encountered
The greek salad is still overpriced if you get the gyro meat. Except now they give you half of the house dressing and charge you another .50 cents for another tiny container filled half way (or less) and the amount of potato salad, feta and other stuff besides lettuce has been greatly reduced.
They ignore requests like "no onions or no olives" on everything and throw a hissy fit when you want the order corrected. They tell you that you never asked for that ... in a bit of irony - another customer heard my request and when i complained, she said that she heard my request. They told her "NOBODY ASKED YOUR OPINION"
The smaller girl with glasses that works the front counter was so nice my first couple of visits ... she seems to have been jaded for some reason because my last few visits she has been a wall of attitude.
The pizza quality has gone down hill. Under cooked dough twice and once where it was cooked to a brick. Toppings have been greatly reduced as well. Ordered a chicken & bacon pizza in my recent trip. When i got home, my wife opened the box and asked why i got 2 cheese pizzas. 1 was suppose to be cheese for the kids but the other looked the same. We rooted around and found exactly 4 small chunks of chicken and if you looked closely you could see the bacon dust.
the garlic knots are still good but those are real hard to mess up. I bought a ball of pizza dough from publix and made knots with olive oil, salt, pepper, garlic and italian seasoning and a bit of butter. They turned out as good if not better.
My last order which was ordered for take out - in person consisted of a greek salad, 2 medium pizzas and an order of garlic knots took 1 hour and 35 minutes to complete. I arrived at 8PM and did not get home until 9:45pm. My wife had to give my kids a pack of gold fish becuause they were complaining so much about being hungry (they expected me home an hour earlier). 45 min is not a huge task for 2 pizzas, a salad and knots. shesh ...
After my last visit which was the 4th unsatisfactory visit in a row, i have tossed their menu. I know they can make top notch stuff but its not worth the risk / let down anymore.... or the argument if you dare call them out ...or the potential...
Read moreThis was originally a 5 star review that I'm editing. I'm very upset with the poor customer service and won't be ordering here again.
I've ordered a lot from here. Great pizza. Only bad thing was delivery time. Always more than an hour. But I don't mind the wait if the product is good. That being said, I had a horrible experience today.
I ordered 2 large pepperoni pies, 20 wings, and two 2 liters. One pizza was over cooked (a little black on bottom and slight burnt taste), no biggie. We get to the second pie and no pepperoni, just chesse. So I call to tell them the problem. I'm told that they'll send me out another large pepperoni. I asked how long and am told "I'm not sure. There are several orders ahead of you". I start getting annoyed here because I was ahead of them. If they made a mistake, shouldn't I be priority first out? But I just said "ok thank you".
Some time goes by and I check my phone and have 2 missed calls from them. I called them back and the same young lady tells me there was a "miscommunication between us" and that I would need to exchange the full pizza at the door when the driver arrives. I couldn't do that because I had a party of six that had already eaten some of the cheese. (Had she told me that when we originally spoke, as annoying as it would have been, I would have obliged) Im getting really annoyed at this point. I ask her if I can just get a credit for a large pepperoni next time. She says she can do a medium next time. (She is communicating back and forth between me and her manager). They treated me as if I was trying to scam free food from them. All I wanted was for them to fix the mistake and I was very nice about it. I was exteextre nice in fact, I know how angry customers act. I was in customer service for many years. I asked if I could talk to her manager. She tells me "no she's busy at the moment".
I order probably 2x a month from them and have turned people on to them. I let them know this in as nice of a manner as I could and they still just wouldn't fix their mistake. It's crazy to me that just sending me 1 large Pepperoni pizza to correct their mistake...
Read moreThis place is just too busy. Yes it MIGHT be good. The person on the phone WILL be rude, if you can get through. Won’t listen to you half the time. Then when you go up there the cook, she spends just so much, TOO much time talking, is slow anyway, and the phones ringing! If your order is messed up. TOO FREAKING BAD! PACK A SANDWICH! By far some of the worst customer service EVER!
Like I said, so busy they dont care about losing a customer or two, or five. Ok pizza, not the best but with the worst phone, cook and delivery service it’s just not worth it. Will not order from there EVER AGAIN!
Look at the pic, wouldn’t do anything for me even though I took the time to go up there. Had to go up there because they weren’t answering the phone!
Again, I was not asked to hold, I was slammed on hold. Whether YOU think I was rude or not, your staff is nasty and I respond the way I am treated. You are so busy you don’t want to make things right. I live only minutes away, takes hours to deliver. Then when you are so busy, you got to work, not talk.
What was unnecessary is you not wanting to keep customers paying your bills. You had a choice, customer for life or not a customer who will tell everyone not to be a customer. You chose no customer.
I would have thrown the pizza out except you are so cheap you dont keep a trash can outside. Lazy staff doesn’t want to do anything much less dump a trash can or make your pizza right. So it was dropped on your bench so all your future customers could see what they are up for and things to come.
And yes, the customer is entitled to get their monies worth, not ignored, disrespected, made to wait with substandard food and service. I am entitled because this all took hours! How...
