Mr. and Mrs Ferguson would be very sad if they find out that their restaurant has become one more of the unfriendliest, bad attitude, uncooked or overcooked food McDonalds among others. Got to drive thru had to repeat all of my 3 items at least 3 times. I understand it was raining and there might've been a bit of lighting so I wasn't bother to repeat them my order. I get to the first window and the young lady there seem very upset about something, so I handed out my debit card while it was raining and she snatched out of my hand, ran the card and she gave it to me so desperate that it almost fell to the ground. Maybe she was getting ready to end her shift and was running late. While at the second window I stood there for like 2 mins with my window opened getting my arm and my door panel wet and since their window was closed I figure I should close mine too. Well as I was half way to close it, the girl handing out the bag of food was almost on the same mood as the first one if not worse. I guess they don't like to work while its raining or don't like to work at all. Finally I left the drive thru and went to park my car to munch on my food. Opened the bag and there's two orders of fries while I only asked for a fillet fish sandwich and a 10 piece nugget meal with a frozen coke. Ok I dont mind the extra fries if they didn't charge me for them. Well they were both soggy (guess they felt bad about them being soggy that they gave me an extra order of them) and my nuggets? Well they were almost burn to perfection (over cooked) I understand we going through tough times with the pandemic but unfortunately I'm paying for my stuff and not getting anything for free. So I speak for every customer when I say that even on this tough times raining or not employees should at least greet you and smile even if we can't see it through their mask. Be more friendly and courteous and maybe next time if there's a next time I'll say: "my food was bad or my order was wrong but at least they were friendly and made me...
Read moreConsistently mediocre at best. This restaurant used to be the worst McDonald's inside of a 100 mile radius, and that's impressive. 18 months ago, about mid-shamdemic, suddenly it improved dramatically and for 8+ months it nearly achieved greatness. Since their employees decided they didn't need to try to achieve excellent customer service levels to maintain their jobs, the quality and service levels have tanked. Often this is a sign of poor management, or disaffected ownership, i don't know, but for the fifth consecutive trip over the last 3 months, my order was presented in an incorrect state. For once, it was just missing sauces and condiments. Usually an entire meal is missing. Occasionally they miss an entire bag of food. Sometimes they don't snap any of the lids securely on the drinks and you spend a hot summer day washing the upholstery of your car after it formed an amazingly large pool of Cok-derpep-rite-ade.
I could report the failures in the app, and get a call from the overwhelmed manager who could not seem to care less about the problem, and I'd get a junk free meal card that they'd probably manage to screw up. I just don't any more. Instead, I'm going to publish here in a wide public forum where maybe the shame of constantly racing back to the bottom of the quality ladder brings attention of this degradation to upper management and ownership.
Sometimes, you just can't say no for the 50th time to your kids regarding McDonald's... And you go back again and like that terrible feeling when you keep making the same mistake expecting different results, you realize you've been duped again for...
Read moreThis is a great location if you don't care what you end up with after you order. 5:30pm is busy time, so outdoor order takers are assisting the drive thru. I ask if there are eggnog shakes. I ask three times. The employee either doesn't understand, or know what eggnog is. Never mind. Do you have pumpkin pies? Yes, she says, we have pumpkin pies. Great! I'll take two. Along with a double cheese burger and small fries. Anything else?, I'm asked. Yes, I answer. A large iced tea. Unsweet, I emphasize. Anything else? No, thank you, that will do it. I'm handed a post-it note to give to the runner up ahead. My $5 snack rings up at $10.57. Hmmm...something's not quite right. Presented with my order I'm handed a large iced coffee. For $2.49. Not the $1 drink that prompted my original stop. Nope, I say. That's not what I ordered...how long to fix it? Well, says the girl handing me my incorrect unwanted drink order, "the line is really long." Fine, I'll call your manager. Two separate calls yield no help. I can drive back to Elgin and go through another long line in order to add the drink to my already cold french fries. Once home I see that I was charged for both a double cheese burger and a McDouble. I only ordered one. And the pumpkin pies, clearly listed on the receipt? They are, in fact "Holiday Pies", although I'm at a loss to identify the holiday celebrated with vanilla pudding and rainbow sprinkles. Not a fan of Holiday Pies. Not at all. And the extra cheeseburger/McDouble? Turns out what was in the bag was a McChicken sandwich. Didn't order that one either. Soooo, Merry Christmas! Good luck! Welcome to...
