What a great little place. Stopped in on the way back home to Chicago. First and foremost, great hot sandwiches. Don’t sleep on the Reuben! It’s fantastic. The husband got the cheddar beef and he loved it. Surprisingly, the highlight of the meal, for me, was the Lime Cilantro Coleslaw — super fresh, not overly creamy and so bright with that chili lime flavor. I wish I had ordered a bucket of that to bring back home. We’ll definitely come back when we make our way in that direction again.

We were very pleasantly surprised when we stopped here for lunch. The sandwiches, soup, salads, and dessert were all great! The broccoli salad was my favorite thing. The lemon pesto tortellini was wonderful. It's definitely worth a stop whether passing through or if you are from the area.

The staff is very friendly! The portobello mushroom sandwich with roasted peppers ! Delicious. ! I have been here twice now , I had the Reuben on the last visit driving from Chicago to Galena . Loved it! This restaurant is a must stop if traveling through Elizabeth.

Service was good, albeit a bit slow as 2 other people who came in after me got their food first, but overall not bad. Front staff was smiling & friendly.

The tuna melt & spinach artichoke soup were the specials, so I got them, along with their infamous dipp pickle soup, which I was anxious to try.

The tuna melt was a tuna melt...nothing special...it lacked seasoning & I didn't even come across a piece of celery until the 2nd half of the sandwich, so it lacked consistency.

The spinach artichoke soup was delicious, although I came across several tough pieces of the outer artichoke, or "choke", which...
