Mama Pepino's Pizza — Restaurant in Elizabeth

I used to order here a few times a week years ago. Was not impressed by new management. They seem to not care as much about their product. They skimp on the sauce. I’ve asked for extra on my pizza and am disappointed nearly every time. I have called in the past when my pizza is dry as a bone and the owner swears it should be swimming in sauce. I offered to bring it down to show him and he declined to allow it. So I stopped ordering. My wife made the mistake of doing it again. Ordered a big mamma extra cheese and sauce . Was burnt. The girl told the owner my complaint and he seemed to not believe it till he saw it. And immediately offered to make another one. Somehow this slipped by Him in the first place. Or he thought it could slide by.

Tell me 10 minutes he have another. Well 20 minutes I’m still here.

He was very nice. I just missed half an hour of my company cus they tried to slip me a charred pie.

First I want to say, when I first called the gentleman on the phone was very pleasant and informative, I am a vegan so I inquired on their vegan side of the menu but today I wanted to try the pizza because I was craving. The only reason why I gave it a 4 out of 5 mainly because the delivery took over an hour to get here, I called their line to check on my order and no one answered, I pretty much figured it was due to it being so close to the closing so I waited. The pizza was amazing, very large and very good, I was warned that the crust may be a bit dry due to all the toppings but it was perfect! Definitely want to dine in next...

Tonight was the absolute worst pizza place experience of my life. Everything in the bag was soaked in grease to the point you couldn't even pick it up cause it was just falling apart. The pizza was burnt on the bottom and tasted like they used water for sauce. I will never order from here again! STAY AWAY!!! I eat pizza 5 days a week from all over the place and some are better than others but this was so bad I couldn't even eat it. Also the wings were not cooked and were completely pink and not edible unless you want to get salmonella.
