Libby’s Restaurant — Restaurant in Elizabethton

I am a small restaurant owner myself so I don’t hate on the small things when I go places. I like to look for the good. Wanted to give this place a try and was excited! I love breakfast joints and was in the mood for some this evening.

My food was okay. I had the French toast with some over medium eggs and hash browns.

French toast wasn’t bad at all. Ate every bite.

Eggs didn’t seem to have any salt or pepper or anything like that on them so they were pretty bland and underwhelming. But it’s eggs so once again was t really expecting anything crazy.

Hash browns weren’t fully cooked. Came out just oily and once again didn’t seem to have any simple seasonings on them.

My girlfriend had biscuits and gravy and she didn’t hardly eat them. She’s not a picky eater whatsoever so I was confused.

They were not warm, and stale as can be. Granted it was 4pm so I get that maybe they’re not the freshest at that time of day.

The server was not necessarily friendly and just kind of put off an unwelcoming vibe.

My takeaway is that there’s potential here with just a little bit of customer service, along with some seasoning for the stuff mentioned.

I did 2 stars just because the place was nice and not dirty. I’d like to come back and have a completely different experience! Just a little disappointed but I’m sure I’ll be back...

My fiance and I decided to stop in for a quick bite for breakfast and it was great! I got the special that had two pieces of French toast two eggs your choice of meat and I got the sausage with orange juice to drink and everything on my plate was delicious!! My fiance got just 2 sides since she wasn't very hungry, but sh egot a side of apple wood smoked bacon and a side of hashbrowns and she loved it. The side of bacon was good sized and the side of hashbrowns was almost half a plate by its self she added a little gravy on top and honestly we could hav both eaten a side of that and been happy, they were amazing! Long review shortened.. everything was delicious and the service was wonderful too! I definitely recommend Libbys to anyone who wants a quick and delicious breakfast and a very reasonable price!! We can't wait to go back to try the lunch menu next and we will for sure be going back no...

This is the worst restaurant I've ever visited. The food was at best average. The service was the worst I've ever experienced . My son and I visited a restaurant named E'ms for years. Two ladies ran this restaurant ( approx. the same seating size as Libby's ). Their food was very good and the service very good ( one waitress and one cook ). I counted 7 people working at Libby's. I had a good view of the kitchen. I saw my wife's order sit on the counter approx. 15 min. before my order came out . A waitress brought those orders to the table. My son's order came later. My son's and my eggs were'n prepared correctly ( evidently the cook doesn't what " over-easy" means ). Also either the cook doesn't have the equipment or the ability to prepare more than one thing at a time. The wait time for our meal was unreal. We will never return to this business. I don't think it will be...
