Sky Port is a different vibe of a restaurant. It’s at once a Japanese, Italian, and Mexican fusion place which makes it different , but pretty cool.
The staff are all dressed as either cruise or pilot captains. I couldn’t distinguish between the two because it’s both an airplane and boat theme inside. I love it due to its unique style.
Onto the food…they came beautifully dressed:). We got the Beef ceviche, salt and pepper calamari, salmon and tuna sashimi, creamy Limeade, and a complimentary spring roll. The food was good, but not great. I think there needs to be some slight tweaks to make the food exceptional like the service.
One, the calamari rings were good, but they were soft and not crispy. The batter was light but I think the steam from the jalapeño made it soft. Two, the sashimi slices were fresh, but too thickly sliced. It actually came in mini blocks so I had to chew through some parts which usually doesn’t happen with fish. But the quality of the fish was really high. Third, the beef ceviche needed a bit of salt or seasoning. The Mexican Asian fusion seasoning threw us off a bit, but it could be really good if the seasoning is adjusted. Lastly the mocktail was good. Light and creamy.
Additionally, they bring warm towels to the table so you can clean your hands after. The staff were attentive and very polite. Loved that.
In the end, I would go back. I want to try the other stuff, like the Italian dishes or the risotto which I didnt get to. Final review will...
Read moreThis place seriously impressed me. The vibe is clean, modern, and honestly makes you forget you're in Elk Grove—in the best way. It feels upscale without trying too hard, and clearly a lot of thought went into both the space and the menu.
The host team? Wonderful. Super warm, attentive, and genuinely helpful. Everyone we interacted with made the experience feel elevated but still welcoming.
The food was excellent—creative, bold, and clearly crafted with care. You can tell someone actually put their brain and palate into building the menu, not just throwing trendy ingredients together for the hell of it.
Only two minor suggestions (and I’m nitpicking here):
The open seating thing was confusing. Guests walking in weren’t sure what to do or where to go. A quick fix there would go a long way.
It’d be nice if the host or server gave a quick explanation of what’s being served—especially with dishes this creative. Let us in on the magic a little.
All that said, it’s a win. Classy, unique, and a genuinely exciting new spot. I’ll...
Read moreRestaurant is cool! Relax ambience!! Waitress/flight attendant was nice had real great energy. I hope she continues to do so! A smile and great energy can brighten up someone’s day. Shoutout to the young lady whom took my order she made me want to tip her just because of that. Although my shrimp empanadas was not correct because of a website error not stating cheese as an ingredient(in which she mentioned was an error on her). She tried her best to correct the order somehow with a substitution item wasn’t bad at all, but it wasn’t great neither. So i really wish i would have just received my original order just without cheese. Shrimp empanadas are tasty if you like/eat cheese. Their shrimp are real good not frozen type. Overall it seems that they have some good tasty menu items. It’s just I’m pescatarian so my options are very limited. Really the only reason I would come back is for those shrimp empanadas without cheese and the energy I received from...
