Tom's Tavern — Restaurant in Elk River

Great bar, food service sucked. 2 hrs to get an order of Huckleberry flatbread, Yonkers nasty pizza and gizzards. The gizzards were horrible. We ordered at 6:30 pm when the firemen finished their drive. Ordered, was told 3 times that our order was cooking. Finally was tired of waiting, got up to leave and was told our order was cooking, paid our bill and waited another 20 minutes to get our food. The male behind the bar said there was 5 orders ahead of us. I think the waitress forgot to order our food. Have never seen a restaurant take two hours to serve a meal. It's a great Tavern in a small town. The atmosphere was lively and friendly. The bartenders were very attentive, and they made the best strong mixed drinks. The price for the drinks was very reasonable. My friend and I were from out of town, and most of the people in the tavern were locals, but we were warmly welcomed. We had such a great time. There were six of us that stopped for dinner. The facility had quite a few people there. While the cook only has a very small work space; she was able to swiftly have all of our delicious meals out at the same time.
