I gave a 1 star because of service. I ordered a pizza by telephone, the guy that took my order was rushing me to place my order, so much as I was placing my order with him, he said “hold on” and just clicked the phone right in the middle of me talking. He got back on the phone and was rushing me again and I told him what I wanted on my pizza, and as I was asking him for my total, he just hung the phone up!! I was like “Alrighty then!” As I awaited for my pizza in the lot, I saw tons of people walk in and out, this place gets tons of business. When I walked in to pick up my pizza, they don’t acknowledge you, the young girl was more into impressing the customers dining inside, because I didn’t know where to go to pick up my pizza. The same girl then stuck her head out and looked at me as if I was in the wrong place or lost and said “Is there anything I can help you with?” I’m thinking okay all I see are white people, but honey I’m never lost dear, I got money and an appetite too, don’t do me! Don’t let because I’m black and what you see on tv or what your parents raised you to think of my color fool ya! Yes she was a rude Lil thang! But I told her I was there to pick up my pizza, she asked for telephone number, I told her, then she told me the price, I hand her my “credit card” yes I have 17 of them! And she said “Can I see your ID?” I said “Oh yes darling!” In my rich voice! I also said “I have several, and $3k in cash too, I hope you’re asking all them white peoples for their ID as well!” I see this place is for the uppity white peoples, they look down on you if you’re black, probably Hispanics too, cause I didn’t see anyone of that race there. They love and cater to the “majority” and if you’re not white they think you’re broke or can’t afford a damn $12-17 plate of pasta or pizza. It’s sad to see where we are in today’s world, but I’ll continue to go spend my money at Milano’s or Bruno’s where we beautiful black people don’t get looked up and down, stared at, or treated lesser...
Read moreThe delight that keeps on coming. I have driven past this restaurant many times and had no idea of the delicacies within. Walking through the front door, one is immediately taken into a Mediterranean decor with walls and ceilings painted as a European restaurant, spot and gentle lighting, the pizza oven to the left. The building is much larger on the inside and includes large party sized rooms. At our table of eight, we started with warm bread, crackling crust on the outside, soft on the inside, almost melting in the mouth with the high grade butter. The tasty nights reminded me of the artisan breads of Europe. A shared dish of meats, Italian cheese, firm but not hard, nor too much crumble. I had a sizzling pasta with peppers, tomatoes, Italian sausage and washed it with a Blue Moon beer. They have tap beers, mixed drinks, wine. Others enjoyed pasta dishes with chicken or lobster. Perfectly cooked al dente with a well paired sauce. A local mentioned he has never had a plate he did not like and the pizza is delicious. They had three eye pleasing fresh deserts, though the main dish was enough to satisfy in itself. I will return with my spouse on date night. There are plenty of cozy nooks for two that entice one to settle in for good food and conversation. A hidden treasure that will...
Read moreFor a restaurant so highly rated we left disappointed with our visit. If the staff was decent they could flip the tables faster to serve more people their disappointing food.
Perhaps it was the service, which was extremely slow. We sat 15 minutes before our drink order was taken. It took another 15 until we got our drinks and another 15 minutes passed until they finally took our order, which took about 20 minutes to arrive. We waited longer to order than it took to get our food. We ordered special drinks for the children that never came and we had to argue over it to get them removed from our bill.
The food was only good if you ordered pizza and it was average. The fettuccine was disgusting, the person who ordered gagged on the first, and only bite. Several people ar the table tried it and thought it was gross, said they had boxed that tasted better. Worse was the salmon. It has this overly sweet dressing on top of it and the fish itself was tasteless and kind of mushy.
As if we hadn’t waited enough, when the waiter took our payment, he then came back about 10 minutes later to collect our cards. We told him he’d already taken them and he seemed confused. He did come back with them shortly after, but it was off putting he would misplace our...
