Staff was awesome interacted with all the family asked my youngest what his favorite dinosaur was and made sure his kids meal was in his favorite the T-Rex. We asked tons of questions as it was our first time they just got wings in wife loved them. The wings were nice and crispy so good she ate them without sauce. Next was my oldest and I burger we got the smash attack. We were told there was complaints of over seasoning. This burger took me back to when I was kid eating at the Old Jan's place on Mishawaka road. You can tell it's lightly seasoned was a new recipe for today its a winner in my book. Sides are your normal sides fries were great nice golden brown little crunch. Wife had mushrooms said they were your normal deep fried mushrooms.
Dessert peanut butter shake this was amazing if they would add a chocolate drizzle it's a liquid reeses cup. Place was great we will be back will try the Chicago dog and ribs next. Wait time was around 15 minutes. If you want fresh cooked food it's...
Read moreIt may be the old Penguin Point building, but the food inside is not. I've been there twice, and both times got the hamburger combo. While it's not the "best ever", it certainly was good. If you are not a fan of onions, you better let them know. They cook chopped onions in the burger. I don't mind them, but don't really like them. It's cooked to order, so don't think it's going to be ready in 5 minutes. It took about 15 minutes or so for a family of 4. The staff was extremely friendly, especially the lady who took our order. There is a large variety in the menu, perhaps maybe too much. I probably need to try something else next time. The atmosphere is rather "Penguin Pointish", meaning it hasn't been updated since the 80's. It's clean and repainted, but still feels like the old Penguin Point. My wife and son was reluctant to go there for this reason, however they left as believers and they want to go back again the next time...
Read moreI ordered 2 coney dogs and they were horrible. The coney sauce was dried out, burnt, and definitely did not taste like a coney dog. More like week old sloppy joe meat on my coney fogs. They put honey mustard on it instead of yellow mustard and they didn't put any onions on it. Also, I got 2 different types of hotdog buns. My fried mushrooms were all smashed in my bag and soggy. The fries were hot and fresh but had a weird taste of old frying oil. My husband's tenderloin was hot and fresh but we asked for the sauce on the side and low and behold it was on the tenderloin. We love to support local business and have given this place more chances than I'd normally give any restaurant, because my husband loves the tenderloin but the food is so inconsistent and borderline gross. Everything we've gotten with the exception of the tenderloin has been a poor experience. Piece of advice, focus on consistency and quality. We won't be...
