Bristol Street Cafe — Restaurant in Elkhart

We should've just stayed home! This was the worst service I've ever recieved, the waitress asked if I wanted coffee and when I said no she didn't ask me if I wanted anything else just walked away. It took 40 minutes for my boyfriend and I to get our food which was 2 pancakes and an omelet. They were a little busy so I was understanding at first but 40 minutes is ridiculous. Our waitress then took our food to the wrong table. I didn't complain because I work in service and I understand but at the same time this is unnacceptable. When we finally got the food it was cold and there was entire strips of bacon in my omelet and she didn't bring the syrup for his pancakes either. Order from this restaurant at least 3 times a week. Today I go to order on my way to work and I get put on hold for separate times and by the time I am on hold it’s a total of 12 minutes and I passed the restaurant and no longer can get breakfast before work. The last time I was put on hold I said no please can I order I’m on my way to work and they didn’t even say anything. I heard them taking care of customers but then there was a long time where it was just two girls talking. this is absolutely unacceptable. I understand you’re busy, but you can at least have someone on the phone taking to go orders or someone promptly answering those. There’s no reason I should be on hold for 5or 6...

Was brought here as an out of towner by my fiance and her mom who lived, and the parents still live, in Elkhart. Said it was one of if not their fav breakfast place. Oh yes I was not let down. It was oh so good, the menu wasn't too big to make my choice but it was good enough that everything sounded good and classic breakfast meals. I went with the steak eggs and toast. Awesome. Had some of my fiance's half order of biscuits and gravy and half potatoes and gravy and that was awesome too. Topped of with chocolate milk. Can't complain at all about the whole experience.
